Chemistry- Edexcel and Cambridge syllabus (O/Ls and A/Ls)

Chemistry is a subject that includes more concepts, calculations methods, applications and also commitment.
Every concept is link to each other but student finds it is very difficult to link the concepts when it comes to applications. During the session you will be provided simple explanations for difficult sections followed by applications.

When I do the revision, I usually explain not just the answer but the background of the theory related with the question.Of course we needs to discuss the past papers at the end of the session and practice well.If you are a student who like to commit and interested, you are welcome for my class.

give courses in languages and applied biochemistry
My name is Younes and I give language lessons, for me teaching means learning twice so my learning method is based on simplicity and above all you have to move forward according to the student's rhythm to allow him to learn. improve and acquire new bases and be able to assimilate new information without ever becoming saturated. Sometimes it's better to go slowly but surely. In addition, I am a young researcher in applied biochemistry and a temporary teacher at the university for 4 years, so for those who have difficulties and gaps in biochemistry, I will be there to simplify you and above all to make you discover the world. wonder of biochemistry and thank you for stopping by.

Biology - all levels: MCAT, GCSE, SAT, International Baccalaureate, etc
In this module I tutor in biology on a middle school to high school to college level, depending on what is required by the student. The possibilities vary from simple lessons about basic concepts all the way to the topics needed to pass ''end exams'' like the SAT, GCSE, MCAT and International Baccalaureate. My knowledge from medical school help me explain the material on a deeper level if the student requires so.

Natural Products Chemistry, Phytochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Welcome to university students or masters and doctoral students!!! I teach the course of Natural Products Chemistry or Phytochemistry or Pharmacognosy. In this class we will learn about the methods of extracting, separating and identifying the chemical form of active chemical compounds (biologically active secondary compounds) from natural sources, such as medicinal and aromatic plants. We will also discuss what is known as chromatography, spectroscopy, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, magnetic resonance and advanced analysis devices used in this field. This is in addition to knowing some important applications of these active materials in various fields, such as the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, etc. We will also learn the practical and laboratory methods that are carried out in the laboratory to conduct toxicity, antioxidant, and diabetes analyses, etc. Experience: About 20 years of practical experience in the field of chemistry, medicinal and aromatic plants and pharmacy with parallel training and private lessons for science and chemistry curricula. With my qualifications and experience, I hold a master’s degree and a doctorate in organic chemistry (chemistry of natural products), in addition to other graduate degrees and a doctoral scholarship in pharmaceutical sciences in Belgium from the Erasmus Mendus Organization of the European Union.

In the IGCSE and CIE (AS/A Level) Biology and Chemistry curricula, Organic Chemistry is a major topic, particularly within Chemistry. Here's a breakdown of what is covered at each level: --- IGCSE Chemistry (Cambridge - 0620/0971) In IGCSE, Organic Chemistry focuses on the fundamentals of carbon compounds and their reactions. Key areas include: 1. Introduction to Organic Chemistry - Definition: Organic chemistry is the study of carbon-based compounds. - Hydrocarbons: Compounds made up of carbon and hydrogen only. 2. Types of Hydrocarbons - Alkanes: - General formula: CnH2n+2 - Properties: Saturated hydrocarbons (single bonds). - Combustion and substitution reactions. - Alkenes: - General formula: CnH2n - Properties: Unsaturated hydrocarbons (double bonds). - Addition reactions (e.g., with bromine water as a test for alkenes). 3. Functional Groups and Homologous Series - Alcohols: General formula CnH2n+1OH (e.g., ethanol). - Properties and combustion. - Carboxylic Acids: General formula CnH2n+1COOH(e.g., ethanoic acid). - Weak acids, their reactions, and uses. 4. Polymers - Addition Polymerization: Formation of polymers from alkenes (e.g., poly(ethene), poly(propene)). - Natural and Synthetic Polymers: Proteins, nylon, and plastics. - Environmental Issues: Problems with non-biodegradable plastics. --- CIE AS and A Level Chemistry (9701) At the AS/A Level, Organic Chemistry is studied in greater depth, with emphasis on structure, reactions, and mechanisms. Key topics include: 1. Structure and Bonding in Organic Compounds - Structural, displayed, and skeletal formulas. - somerism: - Structural isomers. - Stereoisomerism: cis-trans(E/Z) isomerism. 2. Functional Groups and Reactions - Alkanes: Combustion and free radical substitution reactions. - Alkenes: Addition reactions (e.g., hydrogenation, halogenation, hydration). - Alcohols: Preparation (hydration of ethene) and oxidation (to aldehydes, ketones, or carboxylic acids). - Halogenoalkanes: Nucleophilic substitution reactions. - Carboxylic Acids: Reactions (e.g., neutralization, esterification). - Esters: Formation and hydrolysis. 3. Mechanisms of Reactions - Free radical substitution (e.g., in alkanes). - Electrophilic addition (e.g., in alkenes). - Nucleophilic substitution (e.g., in halogenoalkanes). 4. Polymers and Biochemistry - Addition and condensation polymers. - Structure of proteins and DNA. 5. Organic Synthesis - Pathways for converting one functional group to another. - Use of reagents, conditions, and mechanisms in synthesis. Summary - IGCSE Organic Chemistry focuses on basic hydrocarbons (alkanes, alkenes), functional groups (alcohols, carboxylic acids), and polymers. - AS/A Level Organic Chemistry goes deeper into mechanisms, isomerism, synthesis pathways, and advanced functional groups.

Biology at all levels: Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate and University
A graduate of the double degree in Biotechnology and Biochemistry, and with a Master's degree in Biomedicine, I offer private Biology classes for secondary school, high school, and university levels. I have a strong passion for teaching and especially enjoy teaching Biology, as it is one of my greatest passions. I have previous experience teaching students at different levels: from all subjects in the 2nd year of secondary school, through Mathematics in the 4th year of secondary school, to Biology in the 1st year of undergraduate studies. I like to adapt classes to each student's pace and learning style, as well as to the type of subject. I usually start by clarifying concepts the student hasn't understood, and in subsequent sessions, we dedicate time to reviewing and reinforcing what they've learned. I'm available to teach both online and in-person classes. Don't hesitate to contact me for more information!

Science is a way of understanding the world around us through observation, experimentation, and analysis of evidence.
"Science, as a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe, has profoundly transformed human society by providing the foundation for countless technological advancements, medical breakthroughs, and a deeper understanding of the natural world; from the microscopic structure of DNA that reveals the blueprint of life, to the vast complexities of astrophysics that explore the origins and fate of the cosmos, science continues to challenge our assumptions, push the boundaries of what we know, and inspire innovation across every field—education, industry, environment, and beyond—empowering humanity not only to survive but to thrive in an ever-changing world, while also encouraging critical thinking, curiosity, and a sense of wonder about the universe and our place within it."
