About Me

My name is Nestor, and I'm an Economics student at Pompeu Fabra University. I'm from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and although my home is there, I live and study in Barcelona during the academic year.

I consider myself an approachable, patient, and very attentive person, especially when working with children and teenagers. I like my classes to be dynamic and encourage student participation, using examples, exercises, and more interactive methods to make learning easier and more enjoyable.

Besides my studies, sports play a significant role in my life. I've been involved in athletics for many years, and I also love football, so I enjoy sharing these interests with younger people.

I studied Primary School in Barcelona, at Jesuïtes Casp, and then I did Secondary School at the Dominicas de Las Palmas, where I finished with an average of 8.7. Later I studied Social Sciences Baccalaureate at the IES Politécnico de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with an average of 8.8.

Last year I started my university studies and took the opportunity to also take several subjects corresponding to a higher course.

My experience as a student has helped me understand that not everyone learns in the same way, and that's why I try to adapt the explanations and the way of working to each student.

A passionate and creative student with more than 10 years of experience in communication in the English language. I am here to help you discover the world of English in a fun and very practical way.

My main goal is to improve your speaking by using only English during our classes, as well as enhance your grammar, reading and listening skills. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, USA, and relocated from London to Barcelona in 2023.

Maths is a subject which is often hated by many people as it is viewed as 'difficult' to understand. However, understanding Maths is not as hard as it may seem and can be an amazing achievement for many. Even now when I finally understand a mathematical concept I feel a huge sense of achievement!

I pride myself on being a very personable tutor, connecting with my students personality-wise. All my students have said they feel comfortable and calm around me, which is something I believe significantly helps them achieve their goals!
