Hello! I am a native English speaker with a doctorate in Cultural Studies from KU Leuven and a BA in English Literature and writing. I have extensive tutoring and English-education experience and will be happy to help you meet your English-competency goals.

In 2019 I worked as an applied languages teacher at the Université de Haute Alsace in the Faculty of Arts where I taught business English and negotiations, English Foundations, and Business Interpretations (English-French).

I have experience tutoring professionals working in EU institutions, graduate and post-graduate students, and primary-school children.

I work with composition, oral expression, and editing and I have helped many students improve both their confidence and their scores on tests and papers. I have previously provided individual English lessons suited to the needs of adults and elementary-aged students of diverse international backgrounds.

In 2016 I directed a literacy center for primary school children in Washington, D.C., helping them learn to read, write, and think critically.

About Me

Hello and thank you for taking time to consider me as an English tutor for yourself or your child. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Panthéon-Sorbonne and hold an PhD and Master of the Arts in Cultural Studies from KU Leuven in Belgium. During the course of my studies I created and provided private lessons for university students, EU professionals, and primary school children in the Brussels area. I have a background in literacy education with a Bachelor of the Arts in English and writing. I have worked full-time as an undergraduate English language instructor at a university in France, preparing and giving courses of English as a second language, Business English and British Civilizations for students at all university levels. I currently supervise MA students, but really enjoy working with children as well.

I’ve been teaching English since 2021, working with both school students and adults through private lessons and language schools. I studied English-French Translation and Interpreting at Bilkent University, and I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. I also achieved an overall band score of 9 in IELTS Academic.
