About Me

I have been working as a music teacher in Spain for more than 10 years.
Thanks to my professional experience in giving music lessons, I have been able to further my expertise in teaching this subject, and how to teach it to a wide range of ages (children and adults).
I thoroughly enjoy motivating my students and seeing them improve. I have good communication and interpersonal skills and during these years I realized how important it is to build rapport with students in order to motivate them to improve.

Professional Degree in Music (Violin). Music Conservatory of Córdoba. I also have training in teaching biology and geology, with a Bachelor´s degree in environmental science and a postgraduate degree in secondary school teaching. (University of Cordoba). I have received improvement classes from the great violinist Yuri Petrossian (born in Armenia) for 6 years.

I did my Bachelor's studies at the Conservatory of Salamanca (Spain) as well as a Master's degree in Musicology and Aggregation at the University of the same city. Already in Belgium I continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels by doing a Specialized Master in Violin and also in Baroque Violin.

In addition to my classical music experiences, I have also played gypsy jazz and flamenco and free improvisation.

The objective of the lessons will always be for learning music to be an enriching and pleasant activity. The repertoire and methodology will adapt to the interests and needs of each student.

My work is focused on listening (what to hear, how to listen well), expression (producing sound, what do we want to "tell" with his instrument through a given music) and sensations (posture , how to hold your instrument well ...). Hello!

Currently studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels for a master's degree, I have been giving violin lessons for adults or children for more than 10 years, for beginners or with experience already in the instrument.

Regarding children, it is from 5-6 years old (variable depending on the student) that violin training begins. For the youngest we start first with musical awakening (from about 4 years old and this can vary too) to introduce them to this wonderful world.

As much with children as adults, my lessons are always centered on a muscle relaxation essential to the progress of the instrumentalist. This will bring the instrument more comfortable and with better results.

In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music.
I like to prepare a personalized programme adapted to the level and exigencies of each pupil.
I also aim to include some violin duos, to be played with me during the lessons, as I believe playing with other musicians is one of the best ways to enjoy music and learn useful musical and technical skills at the same time.
Another essential factor in my classes is correct and natural posture while playing, to let music heal our souls instead of hurting our bodies! ;) I have been practicing Yoga for a few years, and have experienced the importance of good posture and targeted light stretching, especially for younger players in a phase of growth and change.
I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music.
