About Me

Hello! My name is Marie-Jeanne and I have recently moved to Brussels from Switzerland. I was born and raised in South Africa and English is my mother-tongue. I speak a bit of French and I have started learning Dutch. I have had a multi-cultural upbringing and so I enjoy traveling and meeting people from different walks of life. I am curious by nature and enjoy helping others.

The best way to learn a language is to practice it, listen to it and read it! This is why, as far as possible, the lessons will be given IN English, in order to train both your ear and to push you to answer/think in English.

A large part of the learning will go through the oral practice of the language: you will be invited to express yourself on various subjects that interest you.

I’ve been teaching English since 2021, working with both school students and adults through private lessons and language schools. I studied English-French Translation and Interpreting at Bilkent University, and I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
