Solfeggio lessons, Child and adult, Beginner to Advanced

From 40 C$ /h

I also propose solfege lessons (unaccompanied instrument if desired, if not coupled with violin or piano)
From beginner to Advanced, at the pace desired by the student.
My technique is to use two poles of the brains to understand faster:
- The lyrical apprenticeship: to write, to read, to retain
- The conitive learning: Walking (tempo) + hitting (rhythm) + singing (Melody), which is often faster and simpler, especially for children.
I have all the necessary manuals, so you will not be asked to bring anything.

About Me

- Management student, holder of a French Baccalaureate in Literature
- I am 25 years old, I am also a classical musician (violin and piano) by training.

- I like giving lessons to children & teenagers, because I think that private lessons are the best suited to start a course. However, I don't have any problem with adult lessons.

- I can move to the homes of my students without problems, in the Brussels region, or receive students at my home, in Schaerbeek (my apartment is spacious and equipped for this.)

I am sociable, available and punctual, moreover I love working in education to pay for my own studies, because I think it's a fair return! :)

Elaine.

With over 12 years teaching experience, David's lessons can be tailored to all objectives – with a focus on imparting an understanding of music as a deep language, and on developing a sensitive and powerful technique. In addition to classical piano and, music theory, David can also help you explore simple approaches to begin composing if you with to explore your creative talents. What would you like to achieve with the clarinet?

Maybe you’re starting from zero. Maybe you played years ago and want to come back to the instrument. Maybe you already play and want to improve your sound, technique or musical expression. Or perhaps you have a specific audition or conservatory goal.

Whatever your starting point, I’ll help you turn that goal into a clear and practical path forward.

With me, you can work on:

Building a confident, personal sound
Improving technique, breathing and articulation
Playing with better intonation, rhythm and control
Understanding and expressing the music rather than simply playing the notes
Becoming more confident when performing
Learning how to practise efficiently and independently
Preparing specific repertoire, auditions or conservatory exams

I want lessons to be productive, but also enjoyable. You should leave each lesson knowing what you improved, what you are working towards, and how to practise it.

Whether you want to discover the clarinet, develop your playing seriously, or take your music to the next level, choose a time that suits you and let’s start working towards your goals.

My clarinet and music theory lessons are fully tailored to each individual. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner, have been playing for years, or need help with music theory: together, we’ll find the best way for you to progress. In clarinet lessons, we work on both technique (sound, embouchure, fingering, breathing...) and repertoire, always adapted to your tastes and level. We can play anything from classical pieces to more modern music. In music theory lessons, I help you understand theory in a clear and practical way: rhythm reading, intonation, dictations, basic harmony... Everything is explained step by step, without rushing, and with examples connected to real music. My goal is for you to learn while having fun, without pressure, and at your own pace. I am patient, approachable, and I love helping each student feel comfortable and motivated. In addition, I can complement practical lessons with theory, or vice versa, depending on your needs. I would be delighted to help you!
