I am an Australian musician currently living in beautiful Brno! I have been teaching, recording and performing music professionally since 2013 and have a degree in jazz vocals from the Victorian College of the Arts in Australia. I have also undertaken intensive private study in jazz guitar and double bass.
I specialise in teaching:
- Guitar, ukulele & double bass skills for singers & songwriters
- Singing skills for guitarists, bassists, pianists and other instrumentalists
- Singing & vocal coaching (absolute beginner to advanced)
- Guitar & ukulele tuition (absolute beginner to advanced)
- Double bass tuition (absolute beginner to intermediate, French bow & jazz pizzicato technique)
- Music theory, songwriting, lyric writing, composition & creativity (absolute beginner to advanced jazz theory)
- Home recording & music production
- Lyric writing and pronunciation in English (for non native speakers)
I teach all contemporary genres, and many of my students are singer-songwriters who play guitar, ukulele or bass while singing.
I am a friendly and patient teacher, and love teaching beginners as well as advanced students. I tailor my lessons to your own goals, skill level and interests, and prefer to teach a combination of your own favourite songs plus song suggestions from me that I think will help you improve certain areas. I love teaching songwriting, and enjoy when students bring their own songs to work on in lessons. If you have never written your own song but secretly dream of trying I am the teacher for you :-)
I find it easiest to teach in English, but can also communicate in German (A2) and Czech (A1).

About Me
I am a vocalist, guitarist and double bassist from Melbourne, Australia, currently based in beautiful Brno in the Czech republic. I have taught music professionally since 2013 and have worked with a wide range of students of all skill levels, from children to retirees, including absolute beginners and professionals broadening their skills.
My combined singing and stringed instrument experience has led me to work primarily with singer-songwriters looking to improve their instrumental, music theory and songwriting skills, and instrumentalists wanting to learn how to sing. I also offer standalone guitar, ukulele, double bass and contemporary vocal lessons.
I have also designed and led numerous songwriting and composition workshops, including workshops for Melbourne University Student’s Union, Firebird School of Music in Brunswick, Australia and international online learning platform Lessonface.
I am a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia and have been performing for over ten years as a vocalist, double bassist and guitarist with a variety of professional ensembles. I have released three critically acclaimed albums of original music, and was nominated as Best Folk Artist in the 2021 Music Victoria Awards.
In 2023 I moved my studio fully online, allowing me to travel and perform through Europe while continuing to provide lessons. I am currently based in the beautiful Czech republic teaching online via Zoom.
