Classical piano lessons are offered privately, with the intention to improve the student to gain confidence in his/her's piano playing, musicality and technique.

Step by step and also depending on the level of the student you may progress from Baroque music to the Romantic or Impressionist period and obviously what you learn in classical piano will be applicable to easier genres of music such as pop.

It will therefore be my goal to reach you to that standard!

About Me

It would be truly a pleasure for me to teach any student willing to learn music!

I would be interested from the earliest ages to the old ages... it really doesn't matter at all.

We will begin with basic classical technique and move all the way to the more advanced levels, step by step

Education

Private piano and music instruction by my first teacher (graduate of Juiliard School) and instructed by professor Leon Bak at Utrecht Conservatory.

Received instruction from Rien Balkenende and Sergei Edelmann (his father was a student of Heinrich Neuhaus) and now enrolled full - time as a Bachelor student at Tilburg Conservatorium as a classical pianist at the class of concert pianist and pedagogue Vitaly Samoshko ( 1rst Prize winner of Queen Elizabeth Competition and 2nd Prize Arthur Rubinstein Competition). Furthermore received instruction by Nicolas Callot, Jelena Bazova and Keiko Shichijo. Recently took part at the summer music academy in Debrecen, Hungary with prof. Gábor Farkas (head of piano faculty at the Liszt academy of music in Budapest). Furthermore he receives lessons from Ilana Vered.

Guitar lessons in a relaxed atmosphere.

Professional music/guitar lessons from a certified teacher.
The course is adapted to the wishes and level of the student. I also give singing and piano/keyboard lessons. The lessons can be given at home or at my home. It is important to have your own instrument, although you can also use one of mine if you do not yet have an instrument.

Hey! I will introduce myself.

I am Morice, Pianist and Bassist. I've been making music all my life.
It is the same as breathing for me!
As a 12-year-old boy, I was accepted into the 'Young Talent Class' at the 'Conservatory in Tilburg' and that's how my career started as a classical pianist. Later I started playing the bass guitar next to the piano, just because it's great!
I completed my studies at the Conservatory of Tilburg with the direction of classical piano.

I give a lot of concerts at home and abroad and have often appeared on TV with programs such as De Wereld Draait Door, Free Sounds, RTL Late Night, etc. The biggest stage where I was allowed was 2x a sold out 'Ziggodome' when I was my band 'The Basily Boys' could accompany Gerard Joling. The performance that struck me the most is a concert for 'Queen Maxima' at the opening of the 'Culturalis Theater' in The Hague. Besides performing, I am also active as a composer and arranger.

Every style of music appeals to me, but I specialize in classical music & jazz.
But in my lessons every style of music is represented from Classical to Rock & Pop.
I compose an individual lesson plan for each student, because it is my mission to let everyone discover the magic of music!

In the lessons we work with songs that you choose yourself. The lessons can vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour, this can be specified by you.
Since the corona crisis, we have received good advice about digital lessons and we also offer this option if the student wants this. This can also be combined with physical lessons.

I am mainly specialized in pop music, covers, techniques, soloing, scales, chords, dynamics and performance.

I am a piano teacher with 15 years of experience. I offer lessons in which you learn to play piano and music theory according to your interests and needs.

I studied a bachelor's degree in piano pedagogy and I am still in training. I am currently studying for a master's degree in piano playing at the Utrecht Conservatory. I have also taken many courses from great masters and participated in international piano festivals.

The Piano Program :
- Fundamentals: mostly learning how to read accords,
- Practice exercises: we will be working on agility of the hands, strengthening, finger movements.
- Learning how to listen: In this section we will work the ability of deciphering songs into accords.
- Understanding scales: in this subject we will go deeper into learning scales of every note.
- Songs inventory: Once the student has the basics, we will work on the inventory, he will learn tricks for memorising new songs.
- Composition: here its where the creativity comes along, we will compose multiple songs.
- Conclusion: Here is where the student will bring all teaching together to compose and present to a live audience its own song.
