Modern singing - amateur or professionnal - Chant, Voix et Corps approach
From 86.56 C$ /h
I teach modern singing. Wether you want to improve your singing for your own pleasure, a specific technique (high notes for exemple) for an audition, or get rid of the vocal fatigue you experience at work, during or after rehearsals, we'll work on adapted exercices to help you achieve these goals, enjoy and explore your vocal abilities.
You don't need to know any music theory.
I was trained with the Chant, Voix et Corps method (inspired amongst others by Estill and Feldenkrais), which aims at creating a balanced, optimal, resonant vocal movement, taking into account all the aspects involved in singing : breathing, vocal folds mechanisms, resonance, but also emotions and the body in its entirety.

About Me
I want to make my students discover and love their voice, be curious of their skills and the various voice qualities they can produce, and be playful on their vocal journey.
I also want to help them with their artistic goals, wether it's singing a song at a friend's wedding, start a band, sing their compositions, or sing and play at the same time, etc.
I make vocal health a priority and teach the students how to understand their own limits.
I'm French, so we can do lessons in English or in French.

Experience / Qualifications
I'm a singer-songwriter, and voice facilitator.
During my years in the conservatory, I've seen how conflicting voice lessons could be, making some ideal sound seem unaccessible.
I had a different vision and tried another path, where if you didn't understand an exercice, you'd have another option. A more natural one, based on real sensory-motor, organic processes, instead of artificial vocal gymnastics. I also wanted to "sound like me" and share how fun discovering one's own voice could be.
