My name is Nikolai and I am a professional flautist. I have been in this wonderful field for 14 years and am always moving forward. I come from Saint Petersburg, where I graduated from the classical lyceum "Kikin Hall" and the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory. I have been in Switzerland for three years and during this time I have completed Bachler classical music at the University of the Arts and am now enrolled in the Master Pedagogue at the HKB. I have been teaching transverse flute at the Schmitten and Niederscherli music school for 2 years and I have been teaching privately for 5 years.

My course is extremely flexible - we can work with songs and songs you love, as well as the most difficult etudes and large repertoire pieces. But what always remains is a good mood, a friendly atmosphere, professional methods (correct position of the instrument, correct breathing and easy technique) and joy in music!

Briefly about me: I am a music student at the Bern University of the Arts. I'm currently completing my master's degree in performance. I completed both my bachelor's and master's degrees in education with honors. I have been playing the flute since second primary school and decided to turn my hobby into a career in 2017. I would like to pass on my joy of the transverse flute to as many people as possible and hope that you will also be enthusiastic about this instrument!

The flute is a wonderful instrument because you can use it to describe birdsong, wind, sadness, even the sunrise and elicit beautiful melodies from it.
To make it easy for you, I will introduce you to breathing tricks and interesting tone exercises. I think it's important that we also play a duet or that I accompany you on the piano so that you can get a taste of chamber music, intonation and dynamics. We can also choose pieces of music according to your taste and if you are interested I will also introduce you to music theory and music history.
