About Me

Hi, my name is Andriy, I come from Ukraine and live in Switzerland since 2009.
I have a huge classical background including performance as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician. Futhermore I'm very open to everything concerning music and participate in many different projects (contemporrary, jazz etc.)
I would be happy to share my enthusiasm about music with you!

I believe that all knowledge comes with a price of a change which then provokes us again to start learning ourselves and finding the best possible ways of expression.

On the other side, my pedagogical idea is to allow pupils/students to explore themselves and to give them enough space and possibilities to try out, risk, and eventually find their way of communicating.

Also, my aim as a teacher is to show that the process of learning and exploring is always, if done properly, first of all, an exploration of oneself, and therefore, cannot and should not become a dull process of receiving information without an obvious purpose.

My experience as a teacher has shown me that between very young (5-12) and older people (19-27), (the age groups with whom I have worked), there is actually no big difference and that the only thing which separates the teaching process is the approach towards them as personalities.

With this said and including the fact that I am experienced in working with both groups of people, I over in my add lessons to everybody, without age or skill difference.

I am fluent in all clarinets from the clarinet family including the baroque clarinet and the contrabass clarinet.

J’enseigne depuis 8 ans aux adultes, enfants et tout-petits. J’aime transmettre ma passion pour la musique et plus particulièrement la clarinette. Je m'adapte au niveau et au projet de mes élèves.

After many years of teaching clarinet, I would like to pass on my knowledge and arouse enthusiasm and interest in music in everyone, regardless of age or ability. In my lessons, I pay attention to which genre students would like to learn and which genre is suitable for our lessons. I assume that having fun while learning is very important. I have many methods for every level (beginner, experienced, advanced, professional, children, adults).
I can also play the piano, which makes the lessons much more interesting and helps to go deeper into music, because music is more fun to live with!

As a professional saxophonist, having obtained a Bachelor's degree in Musical Performance in Barcelona and a Master's degree in Musical Performance in Strasbourg, I offer saxophone lessons at home.
