Violin lessons for advanced students / audition preparation
From 96.61 C$ /h
I am a professional violinist with almost 30 years of performing experience. Having played as an orchestra musician and concertmaster for over 15 years, I have coached a number of students and helped them prepare for exams and auditions. I also enjoy teaching basics to beginners of all ages.
In recent years, I have been a mentor and violin teacher for the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra academy and given master classes in South America and in Germany. I am a regular guest member of the exam jury at the Lucerne School of Music.
During 2018 I studied music physiology for two semesters at the Zurich Hochschule ZHdK, which gave me a very valuable insight into some often neglected physiological and psychological aspects regarding violin playing.

About Me
I was born into a musical family and started having piano lessons at the age of four. A few years later, I started learning the violin. Growing up in a family of professional musicians, it seemed completely natural to me that I wanted to become a professional violinist.
Of course that meant lots of practicing day after day. Through the years, I learned a lot about how to practice well and efficiently. It is not all about quantity, but also very much about quality of practicing. It is fascinating to see how the right input at the right time can have an immediate positive effect on someone's playing.
