Hi!

My name is Nathaniel, and I’m a passionate pianist based in Berlin. I love helping people discover that playing the piano is not as hard as it seems, it’s about learning the right way from the beginning.

I’ve been playing piano for years, and music is a big part of my life. I especially enjoy teaching students how to play the songs they love, not just exercises from a book.

As a teacher, I’m patient, encouraging, and very practical. I focus on helping students understand chords, patterns, and rhythm so they can start playing real music quickly. My lessons are relaxed, motivating, and adapted to each student’s level and goals.

I teach a chord-based approach that works for many styles of music including pop songs, simple melodies, and songs students personally enjoy. You don’t need to read complicated sheet music to start playing confidently.

I often mentor people who are just starting out, helping them develop their interest in the instrument and play the music they love.

A lot of students come in with anxiety about how good or fast they're going to be able to learn. I work to build a respectful, supportive environment where you feel comfortable developing and learning at your own pace.

For intermediate and advanced students, I teach with a particular focus on fundamental technique through études, and developing musicality.

Oftentimes, as hobbyists, we have holes from our early studies that prevent us from developing later in life. My aim is to help correct that. You should leave with renewed confidence to tackle pieces that have intimidated or eluded you in the past.
