Horn is a beautiful and versatile instrument. In order to learn the instrument properly, you need the right technique and a good ear for music. I have many years of experience with children and adults at all levels. I have been a lecturer at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin since 2021, as well as at the coordinated special school "Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Gymnasium". I have taught violin and viola in the UK for leading national organisations including Opera North, In harmony and Orchestras for All. I have over 10 years of private and school based teaching experience and have taught students from aged 4 to adults. I also ran an outreach music and arts project in the UK delivering music and art workshops in schools and art galleries as well as online, the project was recognised with two national awards from Deutsche Bank and UnLtd. I have led and conducted school string ensembles and set up beginner string programs for Harrogate Music School, Cardiff Young Strings and The Strings Club, Birmingham.

My teaching style incorporates aspects of Dalcroze and Kodaly methodology as well as improvisation and collaborative composition. My lessons focus on developing technique and skills required to play music the student has chosen and I incorporate play and games into lessons to enable the most effective learning. I work mostly in classical, improvisation and new music contexts but can provide lessons in all genres.
