I am a Professional cellist based in Berlin. I have a lot of experience as a soloist and chamber musician and am exciting to share this Knowledge with Students of all ages and abilities. I focus on taking a very individual approach with each student, taking the time to figure out what they need most and what teaching style would suit them. I believe in a very holistic approach to the instrument incorporating unity of mind and body for technical ease, effortlessness and flow.

About Me

I feel that it is important that a teacher always adapts to their students. Every student needs something a little different from a teacher and it is rare that people learn in the same way. I feel that in a healthy Woking relationship, honesty, and transparency between the teacher and student are very important. For the student to be able to produce their best work and enjoy learning they must feel comfortable in their environment, and so a healthy working relationship is key for me.
My teaching style is a balance between technique and musicality depending on what the student needs most. If you are interested, I would be very happy to offer you a consultation lesson.

Over the years I have played in large variety of different professional ensembles performing around Europe. I have a lot of experience working alongside young musicians and have received mentorship from prestigious soloists such as Steven Isserlis, Gary Hoffman, Daniel Müller Schott, and Gautier Capuçon. I am a laureate of the Gautier Capuçon Foundation and also 1st prize winner of the International Anton Rubinstein Cello competition, and 1st Prize winner of the Concorso Mainardi cello competition. No previous knowledge of music is required.

In my lessons, I offer you a pleasant and effective way to connect your body and mind with the cello. You'll quickly learn how to resolve a difficult passage, identify the cause of a problem, clarify questions about music theory, and integrate all of this into your playing with a sense of physical ease—so that you feel comfortable and can enjoy the music you create.

If you are just starting out on the cello, this will be your starting point and foundation to get you started.
And if you already have experience, my lessons will serve as a deepening experience and help you incorporate new elements into your playing that will make making music easier.

It's a great joy for me to accompany each of my students on their journey of learning this wonderful instrument. I give my best in every moment and approach each student individually – up to the level you wish to achieve.

Hi! I'm Goeunsol, South Korean Cellist based in Berlin. I teach mostly online, in person at students' location by case.

My lessons are welcome for Cellists at all level, beginners, advanced, music students in need to prepare for exams. I am trained with methods such as Suzuki- I as well started myself learning Cello with Suzuki!

As a performing musician, I've played as a soloist in a variety of countries, with several national-/international orchestras and have been selected as a Series Performing Artist of Kukje Art Hall in Seoul, having solo recitals every season since 2019. I have participated in international music festivals including Encuentro de Santander in Spain, am currently academist of Zermatt Festival Academy in Switzerland.

As an experienced and certified cellist / orchestra musician from Lisboa, Portugal, with several years of teaching, I accompany children, beginners, adults and advanced students into their musical dream and future.

🌍 My Experience & Why I Teach

I studied Classical Cello with distinction in Athens and trained further with eminent teachers such as Dimitrios Gouzios, Catalin Ilea, and Lucio Amanti. Since relocating to Berlin in 2008, I’ve been immersed in experimental, free jazz, and contemporary music scenes.

I perform in projects like Black Veil and Antiqva, have composed for theater (including The Robbers at Meiningen National Theater), and worked in film & art productions collaborating with composers like Johnny Klimek and Mario Grigorov.

Teaching is a core part of my musical mission. I believe technique should serve expression — and that every student’s voice is unique. Whether your goal is mastery of classical works, sonic experimentation, or composing your own music, I aim to support your growth with clarity, empathy, and creative openness.
