I'm Chloe, a recent Masters graduate. I'm currently on a sabbatical and am looking at teaching violin for a short term (between Sep to mid Nov).

So if you're new to the violin and would like to try it out with no commitment, or just want to learn your favourite piece on the violin, or just to do a crash course for 3-4 lessons, feel free to reach out!

However, if you're an adult and can use a 4/4 full size violin, you can rent my violin for €5 per lesson. Although most definitely encouraged to have your own violin to practice at home.

My name is Belemir, and I am a classical violinist living in Den Haag. I received my Master's degree from the Royal Conservatory in 2017 with the Orchestra Master specialization and my Bachelor's degree from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory in Istanbul. My training has to lead me to pursue an exciting profession of diverse musical styles and settings which has allowed me to meet many wonderful new people and to share our music and ideas with each other. Now after many years of education and performing experience, I would like to also share what I have learned (and what I am still continuing to learn) with you!

As a passionate educator, I enjoy sharing my musical knowledge and experience with others – I even find myself learning from my students at times! I am aware that everyone is unique, and every student has different needs and ways of learning. Therefore, I prefer to teach in a way that is best suited to each student’s individual needs, and so, I do not follow only one specific method of instruction. I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music.

During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups.

Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults.

Got my primarily education with Nely Sarkisjan at Emils Darzins School of Music in Riga, then studied in Moscow at Gnessin School of Music with Alexey Lundin after graduating college in 2021 got the diploma as an Artist and children teacher. And then after got same teaching experience in Riga until 2022.
Now I am studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with prof. Ilya Grubert and at Davidsbundler Academie with prof. Daniel Rowland.
I am offering lessons for beginners, advanced musicians and amateurs with no age limit. My mission is to help people to begin love the music and avoid bad body positioning for prevention heath harm.

Yvonne was born in Kavala in 1998. She began her violin studies at the age of seven under the guidance of Z. Zlateva. She studied classical violin and music theory and obtained her diploma with "highest honors" in 2022 from the Orpheus Conservatory in Athens, under the guidance of her teachers, M. Plesti and D. Semsis. Since 2023, she has been a student at Codarts WMDC (Rotterdam, Netherlands), pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Turkish music-Ottoman violin (teacher: Burak Savas). She has been a member of many orchestras as well as various music ensembles and workshops (music ensemble with A. Liakakis and T. Gouvelis, classical violin with M. Szlezer, experimental violin with F. Siotas, composition and orchestration with V. Papadopoulos, oriental violin with G. Papaioannou, M. Kouloumis, composition and orchestration with C. Erdogan, M. Nasser, Y. Tockan, G. Baktagir, Kudsi Erguner’s ensemble, Greek traditional music with M. Mavroidi, folk orchestra with M. Pappou, etc.) and has performed on some of the most important music stages in the country. She has composed music for dance performances and short films. Each lesson is unique and tailored to the student's needs. We can adjust the lesson according to what each person desires: from classical technique, exercises, and repertoire, to Maqam theory, taqsim, traditional/rebetiko/Ottoman repertoire, and of course, improvisation. My fundamental principle is that technique comes first, but what's important is that musical knowledge is not sterile but enjoyable. Feeling good with your body and listening to it, understanding where the sound comes from and how to produce it, learning the basics and how to read the notes and the score, learning tricks and daily exercises without the instrument to help you develop your agility and muscles, playing together duets to get closer to the chamber music world and to learn how to listen and collaborate with others. I think it's important to listen also to the student's requests and desires; if you have a tune or a piece that you would love to play we can work on it together.

Folk music is also an interesting way through which we can get closer to the instrument and the music world, playing traditional dances from different countries and discovering different music languages.

As every person has his own physiognomy and musculature, we will try to find together a correct and comfortable posture that better suits the student to create a connection with the instrument. Warming-up and taking care of our body is part of a musician's life (beginner, amateur or professional) and it is important to prevent injuries and muscle pain. Unfortunately this aspect is not often taken into account and for this reason I aim to transmit this value to my students.

I teach classes in English, French, or Spanish to young students who wish to improve their instrument, either individually or collectively. I am also available for music theory, harmony, transposition, and analysis for any level of skill.
