About Me
I am a qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator, with a PGCE in Science and over 10 years of experience tutoring and teaching individuals between the ages of 4 and 21. When I was completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at UCL, I started tutoring and became sold on teaching: supporting people to develop skills and acquire knowledge; igniting interest and open doors to opportunities are just some of the factors driving my love of teaching.Creating equity through inclusion is at the heart of my practice, working with individuals to improve and secure their foundational skills acting as a building block for them to overcome hurdles, grow their understanding and confidence as well as access opportunities opportunities throughout their lives. This technique has allowed pupils I work with to go from obtaining U's to achieving a grade 4/5 or stretching pupils who were achieving grades 4/5 to 7's, 8's and 9's.
Whilst outcomes are important relationships are key to this success to allow learning to be fun and engaging, which allows individuals to truly thrive. I love learning! And love igniting that passion in others; I am a firm believer that learning changes lives because learning is for life. The capacity to learn is the superpower we all share. Reframing perspectives and offering new narratives whether it is in relation to a poem, scientific theory or maths equation allows people to unlock their superpower and succeed.
Education
I completed my undergraduate degree at UCL and then went on to a PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church, before completing the National Award for SEN Co-ordination at Middlesex UniversityExperience / Qualifications

National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination
I have experience working with individuals who have a variety of needs, such as: autism spectrum condition, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, anxiety, moderate learning difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, to name a few
Literacy and Numeracy skills can be challenging for pupils to acquire, whether this is decoding/ spelling for pupils with Dyslexia; comprehending aspects of language for pupils with Autism or maths related anxiety for pupils suffering with poor academic self-esteem, these sessions will improve the necessary skills to build a strong foundation and supporting progress in academia and development of other skills needed on a daily basis.
Learning should always be fun!
Skills can be developed through honing in on interests and making learning relatable to real-life incorporating games and quizzes to not only improve literacy and numeracy but working, visual and auditory memory skills as well as supporting metacognitive skills (independence and organisation) Focussing on developing skills with high repetition and low stakes testing to increase ability and confidence.
I am a qualified and practicing SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) in a secondary provision responsible for designing and implementing successful interventions to improve these skills. Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherI am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.
The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies.
I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics.
I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

EXPRIENCED TUTOR FOR IB, IGCSE, GCSE, EDEXCEL, A-LEVELS, SCIENCE, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY AND PHYSICSI am a specialized and certified AS and A-Levels tutor with extensive experience in teaching Sequences and Series, along with a strong emphasis on Calculus. My tutoring sessions are designed to provide in-depth knowledge and understanding of these crucial mathematical topics, helping students to master the material and excel in their exams.
Focus Areas in Sequences and Series
Binomial Expansion: I guide students through the principles of binomial expansion, helping them understand how to expand expressions of the form
(a+b)n
. We explore the Binomial Theorem in detail, ensuring that students can apply it effectively in problem-solving scenarios. By the end of our sessions, students will be able to expand binomials with confidence and accuracy.
Arithmetic Progressions (AP): Understanding arithmetic progressions is fundamental in mathematics. I provide comprehensive instruction on identifying and working with sequences where each term is derived by adding a constant. Students learn how to find the
nth term, the sum of the first
n terms, and how to apply these concepts to solve real-world problems.
Geometric Progressions (GP): I also specialize in geometric progressions, where each term is obtained by multiplying the previous term by a constant. My approach includes explaining key concepts such as the
nth term and the sum of a geometric series, both finite and infinite. We tackle a variety of problems to ensure a deep understanding of the subject.
Further Sequences and Series: Beyond the basics, I explore further topics in sequences and series, including convergence and divergence. This advanced understanding prepares students for higher-level mathematics and the challenges they may face in university studies.
Mastering Calculus
In addition to Sequences and Series, I offer expert guidance in Calculus, which is essential for success in AS and A-Levels. My focus here includes:
Differentiation: I help students understand the principles of differentiation, teaching them how to find derivatives and apply them to various functions. We work on techniques, such as the product and quotient rules, and explore applications of derivatives in real-world contexts.
Integration: Students learn the fundamentals of integration, including definite and indefinite integrals. I emphasize techniques such as substitution and integration by parts, ensuring that students can tackle a wide range of problems.
Application of Calculus: We explore how calculus is used in practical scenarios, including motion problems and areas under curves, to provide a holistic understanding of the subject.
Proven Approach to Learning
My proven approach focuses on solving past examination questions, which is crucial for familiarizing students with the exam format and types of questions they will encounter. I emphasize understanding core principles rather than rote memorization. This methodology not only boosts confidence but also ensures that students can apply their knowledge effectively in exams.
I believe that personalized feedback is vital for growth. Throughout our sessions, I provide constructive feedback and support, allowing students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. This continuous feedback loop fosters a growth mindset, empowering students to embrace challenges and develop resilience.
