I specialise in tutoring in English Literature and Language at a GCSE level from ages 7 - 16. I will aim to keep students challenged but interested so that it is fun and enjoyable, rather than monotonous. I will also be able to offer weekly progress reports and extra-work to complete at home if deemed necessary.

My sessions would include;
Set Design – How to read and analyze a script/story, what to look out for, and how to breakdown each scene. Creating visual research and mood boards and how to make clear initial sketches in whatever preferred medium, (pen, water colour Photoshop etc) An introduction to modelmaking, making basic furniture, and miniature rooms.

Costume Design – Looking at costume history, how clothes have changed through the ages, and what shapes and silhouettes fit what eras. Costume drawings, looking at how to draw a clear design that could be understood by the whole creative team, as well as working with mixed media in costume design, ie. collage, photo shop. A look at costume making and sourcing, how I work as a designer when I am doing my own costumes, how I source, make or alter different items.

Puppetry – An introduction to puppetry, the history and basic different types, marionette, bunraku etc. How to make your own bunraku puppet, all you would need is cardboard and gaffa tape. How to make shadow puppets out of card and straws, and how to rig a sheet and light so we can perform them.

Online personal maths tuition catered to the pupils needs. I teach from Primary to GCSE & have done for the past five years with great results. I am comfortable teaching from young children to mature students & have a passion for making maths translatable!

In this age of digital media, if you still want to learn physical sketching and painting, you have my heart. The worth of a hand drawn sketch or painting is still more.
This class would have basics to advanced techniques of sketching and painting and would require basic pencils, paint and your own brain in the beginning, then we can move to other tools required.
Don’t worry if you haven’t painted or sketched before, the worst that could happen is lot of pages being torn but some might turn out to be abstract which we can sell and then split the money, hahaha! that’s it, rest would be fun.

In my three years of coaching my students have gained places at RADA, LAMDA, Drama Studio London, East 15 and NYT. I can help with the interview stage and with selecting material.

Once we have that we will slowly dissect the piece and the world of the play to truly understand the character's wants/needs/obstacles/actions.
