I have just moved to the south of France from London, where I had been teaching for many years International Business and Chinese as part of a degree course at a university in London. I also give private tutorial to professional learners as well as students from SOAS, UCL and Cambridge, helping them achieve excellent results in their HSK exams and their academic exams.

Having studied Turkish at SOAS and International Business in China, I am cultural conscious and open minded. I can provide you good insight into the Chinese culture, economics as well as the historical backgrounds to certain events.

My teaching approach is communicative and student centred, constantly adjusting teaching strategies to meet your specific learning goals, whether it is conversation, grammar or Chinese characters. Many of my students who were stuck on intermediate level were able to move up to the advanced level with my tutoring.

I am also particularly good at explaining complicated grammar points which can be frustrating if one wants to progress beyond the just survival level.

It is my strong belief that building a solid foundation in the pronunciations and tones helps boost students' confidence. With my practical approach, many students find they can start communicating and making logical sentences within one or two lessons.

Help with the Classical Chinese studies can also be provided, the Classical Chinese has different grammar to modern Chinese, I can also proofread your dissertation and coursework.
