My name is Clara and I'm a cellist, teacher, and performer in Basel. I'm active in many different genres myself, which is why I can teach a wide variety of things on the cello :) It's important to me to create a learning atmosphere where both student and teacher feel comfortable. Where do I come from musically?

It has always been important to me to explore all the possibilities my instrument offers. And to be honest, I'm not finished yet; the cello has so many facets to discover! I've already tried many different styles. I completed my Master's degree in Contemporary Music at the Basel Academy of Music in 2025. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Artistic Pedagogy in Freiburg. This gives me a solid foundation for teaching the instrument in a playful way and for unlocking the creativity of my students.

Can you also find me on stage?

Yes, mostly with my jazzy indie-pop band "Partiprivati". We write our own songs and I'm usually responsible for a good bassline :)

But also with Percaso String Quartet, with whom we only play string quartet works by women.

Or in Ensemble IPSO, a music theater project in which we try to blend the boundaries between music, theater and dance.

And always with solo performances at vernissages.
