About Me
I'm a friendly person who simply loves helping others, especially those wanting to learn some mathematics. You see, I was once a struggling Math student myself but a very wise teacher helped me learn math and believe in myself and I went on to pursue a Ph.D. in math. Since those days I've been inspiring others, both young and adults to learn math and believe in themselves.
Education
Bachelor of Science in both Mathematics and Physics
Ph.D. Ohio State University, USA - Applied Mathematics, studied under Prof. Anthony Bloch studying non-holonomic dynamical systems.
Experience / Qualifications
Taught mathematics at all levels for 15 years. I founded two different companies teaching mathematics online using Mathematica. Sold both companies the first to O'Reilly Media and the second to the University of Illinois.

Objectives:

Throughout the tutoring, you will meet the following goals:
• Identify similarities between the real and complex number system.
• Recognize all functions as mappings between domain and range sets.
• Understand that linear and quadratic functions are a subset of polynomial functions.
• Model real-world problems using polynomial and transcendental functions.
• Apply advance probabilistic methods to make decisions, and perform statistical analysis.
• Incorporate technology in modeling and solving problems.
Algebra I covers solving linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, and systems of equations, while emphasizing functions, graphing on the coordinate plane, and data analysis. We'll focus on transferring concrete mathematical knowledge to more abstract algebraic generalizations. You'll learn to recognize patterns using tables, graphs, and equations.

ThinkyTown is designed to spark curiosity and confidence in young learners by blending storytelling, roleplay, and hands-on STEM exploration. Through engaging, story-driven missions, children become little “Thinkers” who solve real-world challenges in their imaginative town. Each session encourages them to develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills through step-by-step challenges, strengthen early STEM foundations in math, science, engineering, and technology, and boost their creativity and imagination through storytelling and roleplay. Working in small groups also helps children build teamwork and communication skills in a supportive and collaborative environment, empowering them to think critically, explore new ideas, and see themselves as capable problem-solvers and creators.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the ThinkyTown program, children will be able to:

Apply logical thinking to solve age-appropriate problems through step-by-step reasoning.

Demonstrate early STEM understanding by exploring basic concepts in math, science, engineering, and technology through hands-on activities.

Show creativity and imagination by inventing unique solutions and participating in storytelling-based missions.

Collaborate effectively with peers, sharing ideas, taking turns, and contributing to group problem-solving.

Communicate their ideas clearly during “Show & Tell” reflections, explaining how they solved each challenge.

Build resilience and confidence by testing ideas, learning from mistakes, and celebrating successful outcomes.

Connect learning with real-life situations, understanding how thinking, teamwork, and creativity can solve everyday problems.
