About Me

I love teaching. I love learning more while teaching.
I started music with 12 by singing in a choir of secondary school and taking flute lessons. I graduated from Musicology Department at İstanbul Technical University and Music Education Department at Uludağ University. Here, I focused on flute, classical singing, piano and musical teaching methods. My early passion for jazz music pushed me to take specific vocal training and to attend several workshops abroad. Still singing jazz and giving instrument, vocal and theory lessons in Istanbul and on Zoom/Facetime.

In my classes I combine methods of Russian and European piano schools. I use individual approach to each student. In the lessons we will work around following topics ( posing hands in the piano, development of music ear, coordination, rhythm skills, technical skills, musicality, etc. The classes are available in English, Russian Italian or Turkish languages.

Private Piano Lessons for Children between 6 and 15 years old available in English and Arabic Languages only.
Classes are available either at the student's house if piano is available or at the tutor's house in case the student does not have a piano.

My basic principle and method in piano teaching are to show how to work on piano as a self-education. Most students cannot continue their studies after they stop working with a teacher. I explain the efficient ways of working with the instrument. I suggest taking 4-8 hours of lessons per month. Each lesson can be between 1-2 hours. It depends on the level of the student.
During the class, I assign students to have at least 20 minutes of finger exercises, then to work on pieces that were individually programmed with the student. Additionally, I give listening, reading, and video as homework. I allow students to send me any progress or questions via recorded video or video interview so that they can follow their work until the next class.
