My name is Carlos, and I'm delighted to share my passion for music with you, I teach classical double bass in Antwerp.

I consider myself fortunate to have studied under remarkable teachers, and I am eager to pass on the insights and techniques I’ve gained along the way. My journey led me to London, where I learned from the esteemed Rinat Ibragimov and Luis Cabrera. I then continued my studies at the renowned Moscow Conservatory under the guidance of the legendary Evgeny Kolosov (who was Rinat’s teacher) and Grigory Krotenko, who both instilled in me a deep understanding of the art. For the past seven years, I have had the privilege of working as the assistant principal in the Musicaeterna Orchestra under Teodor Currentzis in Saint Petersburg. Now, I have happily arrived in Antwerp to work with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and I am ready to inspire and nurture talent in others.

I offer lessons in my cozy home studio or can travel to you within Antwerp. At my place, you'll find a welcoming space equipped with a double bass for you to use during our sessions, making it an ideal environment for practice and growth.
