Hi! I’m Mia — a Chinese student living in Belgium and someone who loves meeting people from all over the world. I’ve got taught Chinese to international students before, and honestly, nothing feels better than seeing them make progress in their journey c:

My teaching style is warm, friendly, and super interactive. I don’t just teach vocabulary—I bring the language to life through stories, daily-life examples, fun exercises, and cultural insights that help you truly feel how Chinese works. I’m patient, encouraging, and I love adapting to each student’s personality and learning style. Whether you’re shy, outgoing, nervous, or just curious, I’ll meet you where you are.

What makes learning with me effective is that I understand both sides of the journey—I’m a native Chinese speaker, but I’m also a student living in a totally different country and learning new languages myself. I know exactly which parts can feel confusing, and I know how to explain them in a way that will make it easy, and leave you wanting to explore this beautiful language more <3

Education

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in China, where I focused on Chinese language, cultural communication, and translation courses. These classes taught me not only how to systematically teach Chinese, but also how to help students understand cultural differences and communicate effectively. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, which has given me firsthand experience with international learning and intercultural exchange. This combination allows me to create lessons that are practical, fun, and culturally insightful for students from all backgrounds.
