Philosophy, Human Geography, English as a Foreign Language
From 66.65 C$ /h
I am a MSc student of Environmental Governance (in the department of Human Geography) at the University of Oxford, currently studying (remotely) for exams and based in Amsterdam-West. I graduated with a 1st degree Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2015 and have tutored English Literature, Language, History and Philosophy & Ethics. I also have a qualification to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL), and spent a year teaching English to refugees of war in Greece.
My teaching methodology is very much student dependent. I have previously taught A Level (16-18 years) and GCSE (15-16 years) students, and also one younger student with learning difficulties. My lessons have previously been based on the exam guidelines and specific school syllabi, but have also often taken different directions dependent on student needs. Often this involves recapping more basic topics and concepts, before building upon these new foundations.
The students will receive homework -- often this will be to finish work done in class, or a separate assignment based on that lesson which will allow be to assess how you respond to the class content without my supervision.

About Me
I am a 25 year-old, MSc student of Environmental Governance (in the department of Human Geography) at the University of Oxford, currently studying (remotely) for exams and based in Amsterdam-West. I graduated with a 1st degree Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2015.
I am extremely enthusiastic to learn and to teach others -- to such an extent that I previously taught myself a new syllabus in English Language A Level (which I had never personally studied at school) in order to teach a student who really wanted a young, female tutor with whom she could get along really well. She was predicted an E grade (a fail), and ultimately she achieved an A and was accepted to university.
