I'm Rebeka, a jazz vocalist, composer and musician based in Amsterdam.
I am holding a bachelor and a master degree in jazz singing from the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam.
Besides being a singer and performer, my other passion is teaching and connecting to people through music.
I am aiming to help my students finding their strengths and uniqueness and encouraging them how to overcome any challenges that come on their way. I believe that creating a safe and friendly environment always allow the students to easily unfold and deal with their barriers.

On the lessons, we will be focusing on your personal growth and creating your own routine that will help you to achieve your goal. Working on breathing, posture, and certain exercises that will guide you how to control your own body and instrument and learn how to be precent on stage feeling confident and free.

On the other hand, we will be diving into the important aspects of writing and arranging, and gain valuable knowledge of music theory that comes together with it.

About me:

Over 15 years of experience being on stage with different formations as lead singer, back-up vocalist and bandleader gave me the opportunity to master my musical skills and continue to keep growing.
Studying at the Concervatorium van Amsterdam gave me a chance to learn from outstanding musicians in the Dutch and European jazz scene such as Humphrey Campbell, Lydia van Dam, Sanna van Vliet, Fay Claassen and many others.
In 2022, I spent one semester in a exchange program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles I had great opportunities to learn from remarkable artists such as the GRAMMY award nominated vocalist Sara Gazarek and the GRAMMY awarded double bass player and arranger John Clayton.

Hello everyone!
My name is Davor, professional jazz musician and music teacher. I've been teaching for 9 years and I've met students of many different levels (from beginners to advanced), so everyone is welcome!

Besides jazz I can teach you many different styles, such as rock, blues, pop, funk, latin and brazilian music. I completed my master's degree in jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, so if you're interested, I can help you with composing, music theory, harmony and rhythm.

My concept gives you extensive knowledge and tools, so that you can continue to develop your guitar skills independently in a few months. Lessons take place at my home in Amsterdam Noord or online.

Hi, I'm Philip!
I'm a professional Bass player and teacher based in Amsterdam.
I have studied with some of the best teachers in Europe as well as famous bassists from the New York Jazz Scene. Besides my studies I have been actively performing, recording and teaching since age 16, which led me to play at different festivals and venues such as North Sea Jazz, JazzOpen Stuttgart, Bimhuis, DeDoelen Rotterdam.
I'm calm and easy going and I want to pass on the knowledge I got from my teachers as well as my own experience. I always focus on getting you ready or better at playing in a band, since that's what we do as bass players! I'm experienced in and open to a wide variety of styles, my specialization being Jazz.

As a teacher with more than 6 years of experience, I offer private lessons for all ages and all levels.
I learned my teaching skills from famous flute teachers of our time. I have experience teaching both children and adults and I think it is essential that we both have fun while learning something as wonderful as playing music! Lessons are adapted to your needs and we will develop your musicality and technical skills together. In addition to Classical music, we can also work on other music styles if necessary. If you are interested in composition, music production, songwriting and performance but feel like you need some technical or creative motivation, this is the lesson for you. If you feel discouraged or overwhelmed by the technical aspects of a creative process, this is the lesson for you.

In these lessons, we will work on making the most of what we have through creative-problem solving and inspiration-hunting. You bring your ideas and we develop them together, have challenging conversations and explore alternative approaches to composition, production and songwriting to get you closer to your vision. We will also explore the many possibilities of working with a live band, ensemble or orchestra and how to encourage a healthy but focused work process.

Every student's musical journey is different, and your lessons should be too.

With more than 5 years of experience teaching piano to students of all levels (from complete beginners to advancing conservatory-track students and retired adults rediscovering music) lessons are built around your goals, pace and interests. Whether you're picking up the piano for the first time, preparing for conservatory entrance exams, or returning to the instrument after years away, each student finds a plan tailored to where they are and where they want to go.

The first lesson is about getting to know each other: understanding your current level, your goals, and what excites you musically, so a clear and realistic plan can be built from day one. From there, practice is kept structured and achievable; with concrete, doable goals between lessons, as well as different tools and materials provided along the way. Lessons can take place at my home or, if preferred, at your own address.

As a teacher, I try to stay flexible to what my students want to explore: I find pupils are often passionate about all kinds of genres, and while my own training is classical, I'm just as happy helping a student work on jazz standards and improvisation if that's what excites them, alongside more traditional repertoire.
