Hello!
My name is Nuriam i'm Spanish, and I offer flute lessons to students of all levels and ages. The lessons are in English or Spanish . The repertoire to work on covers all the periods of Classical Music history, from 17th Century to our days.
I have a Master degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and recently I obtained my second Bachelor degree, specialised on Early Music Performance at the same school, studying traverso (baroque flute).
As a flute teacher I have got several years of experience, and teaching is one of my passions. I always find a great source of inspiration and knowledge in every student I have. My lessons do not only have a technical approach: besides, they constitute a continuous search of the best way to give musical expression to our flute performance and knowing ourselves as individuals, as artists.
My schedules are very flexible, so we can plan the lessons every time if that suits you better. We will work individually, so the lessons are adapted to each student's progress and character. But music is a social activity, and this means that concerts can be organised, and there is always the chance to play some chamber music!

About Me
I have studied in music conservatories for seventeen years. I started when I was nine years old, and for the first ten years, I had the same flute teacher, until I started my Bachelor at the age of 18. My first teacher focused all of her energy in ensuring that I developed my own musical identity. She guided me to create my own ways to study flute in order to make artistic choices and transmit that identity. Having such a teacher is the reason why I continued being a musician, and why I developed an intense passion for teaching. It also deeply influenced the kind of teacher I would become.
I have been teaching for many years to students of all ages, from six-year-olds to adults. I have given lessons both to individual students and to small groups, and I have some experience in ensemble conducting (see CV for details). Besides, having worked as a historical tour guide in Amsterdam and Utrecht has given me an excellent training when it comes to speaking in public for long periods (each tour lasted about three hours) and made me develop new systems to transmit contents in an entertaining and effective way.
I have always found a wonderful source of inspiration in every single student I have had.
As a music teacher, I guide a student to discover their own potential, open doors of knowledge, and encourage them to look through those doors and dare to figure out the person they want to become. Each student has unique needs in that process, and empathizing with them at such level constitutes for me the most captivating challenge.
