Singing & Acoustic Guitar (As a Soloist Performer)

From 43 C$ /h

I teach acoustic guitar and singing for people who want to perform as soloists — whether that’s for intimate gigs, ceremonies, songwriting, or simply to feel confident playing and singing at the same time.

My approach is practical, musical, and grounded in real performance. We focus on:
• accompanying yourself on guitar in a way that supports your voice
• finding keys and arrangements that actually suit you
• rhythm, dynamics, and groove (even with just one guitar)
• building confidence to sing freely while playing
• stripping songs back to their emotional core

Lessons are tailored to where you’re at — beginners are welcome, as are singers who already perform but want stronger guitar skills, or guitarists who want to feel more at home with their voice.

This isn’t about perfection or flashy technique. It’s about connection, feel, and learning how to hold a room with just a guitar and your voice. We can focus on simply singing or guitar as well, if you like.

About Me

I’m a singer who learned guitar out of love, drawn to the intimacy and freedom of accompanying my own voice. Living and working in Ibiza shaped that relationship deeply, immersing me in many genres, cultures, and performance settings. Over time, that love evolved into a wide-ranging professional life, both as an independent soloist and as part of bands.

While I enjoy collaboration and versatility, I always return to being a solo performer: voice, guitar, and connection. That simplicity is where I feel most grounded, and where I’ve learned how much can be expressed with very little.

Alongside music, I love to travel, paint, and write. These creative practices feed directly into how I perform and teach, bringing curiosity, sensitivity, and a sense of exploration into each lesson. My aim is to help students build confidence, adaptability, and a musical voice that feels genuinely their own.

My goal is to help you get to the point where you enjoy playing your instrument and beyond. In order to do so, I believe it is important to understand basic musical notions such as Intervals, Chords, Scales...

Additionally, this will help you learn your favorite songs and enable you to find your own musical voice.

Here's a little bit about me:
-I have been playing for more than 12 years.
-I have done a 6-year program at the EMEA School Of Art in Toulouse, France. This includes one on one guitar lessons, music theory classes, singing classes, and live performances with the school’s Modern Music band.
-I did 2 years in the Hamilton High School Guitar ensemble.
- I completed a Jazz Improvisation class at the university of Chandler-Gilbert, AZ.
-I was the lead guitarist in an Arizona local band from 2015 to 2020.
-I was a guitar teacher at the School of Rock LLC Gilbert, AZ(2019-2020)

Do you want to learn the best solos in rock history in a simple and intuitive way? I am the right teacher for you! I teach you to play the electric guitar starting from your favorite songs with a practical and fun method.
My proposed course of study is based on the educational program at the Berklee Institute in Boston. To engage students, the performance of famous songs is explained in each lesson, taking from these ideas to expand technical and musical knowledge.
During the course, rhythmic and accompaniment skills are developed, as well as the bases for improvising, addressing the languages of different genres: blues, rock, jazz, fusion, Latin.

I adapt my classes to the specific needs and requirements of my students so that they learn what they really want.
I like my students to study music with pleasure, treating all topics in a light but concrete way.
My idea is to teach class by talking little and touching a lot to trigger a natural learning process.

What will we learn? My classes are designed for students of all levels: from those who want to seriously delve into their instrument, studying technique, harmony, theory, and reading at a professional level, to those who simply want to improve their knowledge of the instrument they play in their free time. I pay special attention to beginners, regardless of age, ensuring proper finger placement on the instrument, whether it's electric, acoustic, or classical guitar. And... online learning? Yes, it's possible! All you need is a good internet connection and a webcam with a decent microphone (I can help you choose one if you need it). Throughout the classes, I'll share materials and exercises via email, and you can record your practice sessions and send me the videos so I can review them before the class. The pandemic has forced us to find efficient solutions to keep going, and luckily, online music instruction works. And... if you'd like to learn more about the program and how we can adapt it to your needs, just write to me and we can discuss it. I believe that classes should be adapted to the students' interests, level, and time availability, so that they are enjoyable, stress-free, and progressive. Throughout my 25 years of teaching, I have successfully developed what I consider a program of "essential" knowledge for a serious, contemporary musician. My students say about me... Bxxxxxxxx Matteo is a highly qualified teacher who adapts perfectly to the student's style and level. The classes are varied and enjoyable, with a very friendly and trustworthy approach. Good teacher, good person. I recommend him 100%. Pxxxxxxxx He is the teacher I have been looking for for years. He quickly understood what I wanted to learn, and his teaching methods go far beyond what I expected. I sincerely hope that nothing will prevent me from continuing to receive his lessons for a long time, because his contributions are invaluable. Sxxxxxxxx I really like learning with Matteo. He always explains things in a way I can understand, chooses pieces to work on that are both enjoyable and focus on where I need to practice, and takes the time to answer all my questions completely. I'd recommend him to other students. Matteo is an excellent teacher; he prepares his classes very well, is patient, and explains both theory and technique very well. He also has a wealth of resources, publications, and sheet music. In addition, he is a composer and knows a lot about music history. I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn or improve their guitar technique; he is very professional. Mxxxxxx A great teacher with training in many styles, his classes are enjoyable but packed with high-quality content. He is able to adapt to any student's needs and is one of the most complete professionals in Valencia. Totally recommended; you'll even improve your playing posture. 10/10. Cxxxxx Matteo is a great guitar teacher. He's always very prepared for our lessons and is a very experienced guitar teacher and player. The classes are very enjoyable, and I'd highly recommend them. Mxxxxx Fantastic, enjoyable, easy, and varied classes. Matteo pays attention to detail and the student's interests from the very first minute. It's a pleasure to have him as a teacher. Matteo has tremendous knowledge of the guitar and music in general. Not even his modesty can hide it. I observe a great commitment to teaching in him, which is noticeable from the first contact. Matteo is patient and pleasant to work with, and at the same time tenacious when it comes to helping you improve your guitar playing.
