About Me
My name is Aoibhinn, and I am a passionate and dedicated teacher with a focus on building strong relationships with my students. I believe that learning is most effective when it is built on trust and connection.

Teaching for Apprentus has been an incredible experience for me. I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, each with their own unique learning styles and needs. As a teacher, I strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and motivated to reach their full potential.

In my teaching journey, I have developed a variety of tutoring methods that cater to different learning styles. I believe in a personalized approach, tailoring my lessons to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. By understanding their strengths and challenges, I can create engaging and effective lessons that promote growth and success.

Beyond my experience, I bring a genuine love for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love for learning in my students. I am patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated to helping my students not only achieve academic success but also develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-confidence.

I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you or your child. Together, we can embark on an exciting educational journey where we can learn, grow, and achieve great things. I look forward to connecting with you and discussing how I can support your educational goals.

Thank you for considering me as your teacher. I can't wait to meet you and embark on this incredible learning journey.
Education
During my time at St. Mary's in London, I undertook the Primary PGCE program. It was an incredible experience that provided me with a deep understanding of educational theories, teaching strategies, and classroom management techniques. Through practical placements in different schools, I had the opportunity to apply what I learned and gain hands-on experience working with diverse groups of students. This program equipped me with the necessary skills to create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and effectively support the individual needs of my students. I am grateful for the valuable knowledge and practical training I received at St. Mary's, which has greatly benefited me as a primary teacher.
Experience / Qualifications
As a primary teacher with a PGCE, I have a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching skills. My PGCE qualification demonstrates my dedication to the field of education and my commitment to becoming an effective educator. With my experience and qualifications, I am well-equipped to create engaging and inclusive learning environments for my students. My passion for teaching and my ability to connect with my students will undoubtedly make a positive impact on their educational journey. I'm excited to continue growing and making a difference in the lives of my students!

Currently, I am a year one teacher and I have experience working in pre-school and foundation. The skills I have developed will assist me in making a positive contribution, stimulating, and motivating pupils to reach their true potential. As a diligent and enthusiastic individual, I work hard to adapt my approach to best reflect the pupils in my care and provide them with worthwhile opportunities to hone their skills, while preparing them for life beyond the classroom.
Before teaching in the UAE, I completed an undergraduate degree in Primary Education with Early Childhood, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. Through these qualifications, I acquired valuable insights across early years, key stage one, and key stage two. Additionally, I have gained practical experience as an LSA, as well as a nursery practitioner. During my time as a nursery practitioner, I was promoted to the role of Pre-School Room Leader, which enabled me to design and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that align with the EYFS. Both these roles allowed me to create a positive and stimulating learning environment and tailor my teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each child, including those with special needs. I am responsible for teaching whole class phonics lessons, as well as guiding daily one-to-one and small group interventions of mixed ability children, supporting the children with foundational skills necessary for reading and writing. This includes blending sounds together to read words, segmenting words into sounds for spelling, and developing their fluency and comprehension skills.
I seek to develop opportunities that best reflect the needs of the children in my care. Therefore, in addition to my qualifications, I have actively pursued CPD, which includes training in phonics, safeguarding, reflective learning, first aid, and mental health. I prioritise community connections through collaborative initiatives involving parents/guardians and regular positive reinforcement.
