Proper noun is a word used to name specific people, things and places. For example: Paul, Bic pen, Addis Ababa.

Common nouns name things in general. They are not specific like proper noun. Example include: teacher doctor, chair, table, school, hospital.

When marking plural, add s to the end of the noun. For example:
Car- cars
Cup - Cups.

Nouns ending in the letters x, s, or z or in ch or sh sound need es. For example:
Boss- bosses
Tax - taxes
Church - churches.

The subject covers a range of learning areas that will be of interest to learners who want to improve their English and writing skills.
Students will be exposed to the various English language skills. It is my hope that the learners will get something out of our classes and that their use of the English language will ultimately improve.
