I have taught physics and chemistry in the French system for twelve years, at every level from 6e to Terminale, and hold a master's in physics alongside my teaching qualification. I head a department at one of London's leading French schools, support UCAS applications, and as an official exam marker I know exactly how answers earn credit and where candidates lose points.

I teach in French or English: collège and the brevet, seconde, enseignement scientifique, Première and Terminale spécialité physique-chimie (including the ECE and Grand Oral), as well as technology, SNT and NSI. Students following British or international programmes are also welcome.

Every course starts with a diagnostic test tailored to the student, so we know where the difficulty lies from day one. Most students who come to me are neither lazy nor weak: they have learnt the lesson, yet still get 9/20, because what is missing is the step between reading a question and understanding what it is really asking. That step can be taught.

I am a PhD student studying Chemistry at Imperial College London. I like helping students understand concepts and improve their grades, which is why I signed up to be a tutor.

During my A-level years, I was also selected as a Chemistry mentor to assist one of my peers. This reinforced my understanding of A-level Chemistry, and was a valuable teaching experience.
