-- Tutor For High School / IB and University Students -- I am a Maths and Physics Tutor with over 8 years of experience tutoring teenagers, students and young adults. After having received a bachelor in Aerospace Engineering and Philosophy & Mathematics, I am now doing research at the University of Cambridge in the field of AI. Because of this, I am only able to give online classes. My teaching is based on a principles of compassion, understanding and personalisation. I believe that every student is different and that for every student a tailor-made approach is required to create the perfect lesson. After all, each of us retains information in a different way. For some, visual learning is crucial, while for others simply talking through the problem can be enough. That is why I use my five years of experience in tutoring to gauge what the student exactly needs and how the student can fully understand the problem. Not only does the student become better at the subject they're being tutored, but they also become a better problem solver in general. A skill which they can apply throughout their entire life.

Hi there! I am a Vietnamese native (Hanoian), used to live in England for 2 years, and now in my 9th year living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Tutoring Vietnamese is my passion and I dedicate myself to a great experience for the students. This class will introduce you to various aspects of the Vietnamese alphabet, grammar, and spelling. I will also provide speaking practice at the end of every class. This class is designed for those of you who are interested in the Vietnamese language, as well as Vietnamese culture. New vocabulary for each topic will be discussed. My study background is in Mathematics and Statistics, thus with the combination of languages you can expect 'a bit' of reasoning logic behind all lessons I give (which I think gives some structure to the lessons as well)!

I specialise in teaching Chinese and Japanese to students of all ages and abilities. For both of these languages, my pronunciation, grammar and fluency are at a near native level, and my students benefit from my ability to explain concepts in English. I am a creative teacher, however I do not shy away from traditional approaches to teaching, and as a teacher of languages, I particularly enjoy teaching grammar and pronunciation and have developed a thorough approach to each of these, along with all other aspects of language-learning. I have considerable experience devising and implementing my own syllabi (something I also greatly enjoy!) to cater for the diverse needs of my students - particularly younger learners. The exact format for my classes therefore differs from student to student: some prefer to focus solely on speaking and listening; others (schoolchildren for instance) study more writing and translation. A typical syllabus followed could include the following on a weekly or fortnightly basis: pronunciation training; writing practice; focussed work on grammar and grammatical structures; reading exercises; conversational role-play; vocabulary testing; essays on history and culture For more information, please enquire.

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Particle Physics at the University of Amsterdam. For over 8 years, I have been offering private tutoring in Mathematics and French. I firmly believe that mastering mathematical logic and a foreign language opens up numerous opportunities for individuals who are willing to invest the effort. One aspect that I particularly enjoy is the challenge of adapting my teaching methodology to suit the specific needs of each student. Over the years, I have developed a strong rapport with my regular students whom I have been assisting for an extended period of time, and I am eager to expand my circle of students. French: 1- Learning in context. 2- Balancing/combining formal and informal/casual use of the language. 3- Activating passive knowledge and deepening language proficiency by learning how to express emotions, employing (idiomatic) expressions, and grasping language-specific humor.
