Trusted teacher: I'm a 33 years old french teacher and I've been living here in Brussels for 11 years, 8 of them as a french teacher. Before that I studied political sciences and had a couple of experiences in public communication. As a teacher, I gave classes in languages centers (such as Berlitz or Semantics), so I worked and continue working in different environments like lawyer cabinets, hospitals, companies or NGO based in Brussels or with people learing french through unemployment programs). But I also give private lessons, like the one we might do together. This brought me to work with different linguistic, cultural and professionnal backgrounds as well as with very different age classes (from 5 to 65). My class is essentially based on improving communication skills, that is to say that I give an advantage to the practice of verbal expression, through simulations (of professional situations, like doing a public presentation or conducting a meeting,...) and conversation (around documents and medias like articles, audiovisual items,...). Nevertheless, when learning or doing the revision of grammar points is needed, I organize grammar items to work on too (the use of the subjonctif, la concordance des temps, how to express hypothesis,...). For that, I use primarly the book Grammaire Progressive du Français but can also use different material (I worked with some product of the editions Alter Ego more centered on workplace oriented needs for example). So my methode is "taylor-made" as I adapt the content around the needs of each students in term of their communication objectives. I tune into the needs and rhythms of each student and adapt my sessions accordingly. Over time, I have refined a teaching approach that is both structured and intuitive, based on breath, body awareness, and alignment. My classes are dynamic, precise, and revitalizing. Regular and mindful practice helps strengthen the body, improve mobility, relieve chronic tension (such as lower back or joint pain), and correct posture. Breathing and relaxation techniques are always integrated to regulate the nervous system and cultivate a sense of grounding and openness. I periodically assess your progress so that your practice evolves smoothly and effectively. After a few sessions, you will feel lighter, more centered, and more connected to your body. I have had the privilege of teaching in a variety of settings: • at home and online, • in companies, where I have delivered many weekly classes, • abroad (notably in Lisbon and on a Mediterranean cruise ship), • and at yoga festivals, where I have led classes with over 300 participants. In 2023–2024, I deepened my practice in Mysore, India, under the direct guidance of R. Sharath Jois, a leading figure in Ashtanga Yoga. Since 2023, I am also certified in Sports Massage Therapy (ITEC Level 3, London), which allows me to better understand body mechanics and offer complementary care off the mat. And in 2024, I completed a certified training as a fitness coach, which has profoundly enriched and structured my yoga teaching — with greater postural precision, a more nuanced understanding of the body in motion, and increased attention to each person’s physical progress. My first lesson with Carlos was great! Not only is he a skilled clarinetist, but he has a very hands-on approach to teaching that is especially helpful for those just beginning or starting up again after a long break. Though I remembered very little of the clarinet before our first lesson, he immediately made me comfortable getting back into the swing of things and gave me many helpful pointers to regain my bearings.
