Nick - LeuvenC$80
Trusted teacher: Mathematics and Physics tutoring for secondary and primary education (also at home). Master Commercial Engineer KUL with a Science-Mathematics-8 and Civil Engineering background. ABOUT THIS LESSON: I offer tutoring in Python programming and mathematics for university and college students. I also support secondary school and primary school students in all scientific subjects. I start by (if available) using your old tests to determine together with you (and possibly your parents) what specific difficulties you have. In addition, we will have a short conversation in which you can explain to me which issues you have experienced as the most difficult and would like to focus more on. My focus is on ensuring that the student is able to find the solution independently, step by step, and I help where necessary by providing mini-tips to get to the next step together. This makes my method much more personalized than standard classroom teaching. When I notice that a student has difficulty independently coming up with the correct editing steps, I create a concise step-by-step plan tailored to that specific subject so that the student begins to see more structure in the learning material. At the same time, I ensure that the underlying theory is thoroughly understood by linking it to self-invented exercises and practical examples from the student's personal environment, which makes learning easier and more lasting. ABOUT NICK: I am a 22-year-old master's student in Commercial Engineering at KU Leuven. I started tutoring my sister, nephews, nieces and friends and I get a lot of satisfaction from improving and helping others when they come to me for help. Because I have been tutoring consistently for 4 years, I have the right resources to present learning material in an understandable way and to strengthen the motivation, concentration and independent study of my students. In addition, I have a lot of experience with children and didactic teaching techniques from my tennis initiator diploma. Ranging from first to sixth secondary school, from 2 hours to 6 hours of mathematics per week and everything in between, I have guided students of all directions and levels, with a successful outcome every time. I don't give up until I'm sure a student understands the material well enough and I see them making progress. By always appearing enthusiastic, I ensure that together we do not let the drudgery of difficult subjects get any further than the school desks. I am flexible in making appointments and am open to every student. This can be done at a fixed time every week or lesson by lesson. I provide tutoring at your home (I can travel by car), at my home (Kampenhout), in my student room (Leuven) or online. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can discuss the practicalities in more depth. Together we can both make a schedule and work lesson by lesson to achieve your personal academic goals or those of your child.

Rami - LeuvenC$65
Trusted teacher: As a language, Arabic may seem scary, whether you hear two people speaking it with a bit of an aggressive tone, or see the terrifying Alphabet being used and written in a different direction! However! Fear not! I can assure you, i felt the same way about Dutch, and was terrified to try and articulate the words and their meanings. However, after a year of going through a successful active learning course (which our classes will follow a similiar method to), and enough practice, i could confidently say i can hold my grounds, with the fear of the Dutch language being at bay ! In my 2 years of teaching experience, without the "over-use" of "English or other" languages and starting right from the beginning with Arabic, some students and friends of mine were able to speak Arabic with me, in addition to writing full essays, and even understood the general grammatical structure of the language, all of which took no more than a couple of months. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that Arabic is the second toughest language to learn after Chinese "Mandrin", meaning that expectations should be kept realistic, with time and practice being key.A year should suffice someone to be able to claim that they are at a "A1-B2" LEVEL, which is almost in the intermediate Zone. For our classes, THREE TYPES or METHODS could be chosen from: 1- The active learning extensive Method 2- The "school" Method 3- The "specific university subject tutoring" Method. 1- For the first and second methods, i will usually devise a specialized text book (Word/PDF, no need to hurt trees and print...) which will include all that we need throughout the course from necessary readings, literature, and grammar of the language. this book will be modified accordingly to the purpose of learning the language that you could clarify to me beforehand (whether academic in a specific field of science, or any other purposes...) 2- However, if your goal is purely conversation, and does not include learning proper Arabic (Fusha), the method of teaching differs a little. Here only the "school method" applies. Let me elaborate: In schools, we are taught to read and write "MUM, DAD" before we learn our ABCs, Thus "conversation" will be the main focus, accompanied by brief and on the surface piecing of the principles of the grammar, punctuation, and other related aspects whenever a new one is at hand. 3-Finally, if you are studying any of the Arts or Majors in University, and you need specific help concerning Arabic Subjects (Ba. Master. PHD levels), specific short classes, through the third method, will be offered, and through which we can: answer all your question, explain anything that you are having trouble with, and specific help that could also be offered according to your needs.
