A year later I completed a 50H Yin Yoga training with a renowned Yin yoga teacher from the USA, Bernie Clark. In terms of my teaching experience, I’ve been a Restorative Hatha Yoga instructor since January 2020 at Southwark Adult Centre where I have taught vinyasa-flow yoga classes, Pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation practices, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, I've taught Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra classes since May 2021. As an Ethical Studies teacher at West Thames College, for the last 5 years, I’ve been incorporating the elements of meditation and mindfulness to combat stress and anxiety among college students and to help them deal with their personal and academic issues. As part of my role, I’ve delivered workshops on anger management, dealing with negative emotions and establishing healthy relationships. More recently I’ve utilized the psychology and philosophy of yoga while teaching about safety online on social media and stress release utilizing breathing techniques (Pranayama) and positive affirmations and visualizations to be successful in exams and in setting everyday goals.
