Hi, I’m Sarah! I am both an Opera Singer and a classroom Music Teacher. My love for teaching and singing have always lived side by side. I constantly seek any opportunity to share my passion, whether that be in front of an audience or a classroom of students. I have always loved expressing myself through music, regardless of the genre. In fact, in a past life, I really wanted to be a country singer. My philosophy as a teacher is to have student specific teaching styles that are all about helping YOU achieve the goals that you want to achieve! Whether it be your high school/university recital, auditions, or preparing for a gig, our lessons will be tailor-made to you. My job is to give you the confidence to enjoy your voice. I am an Operatic Soprano yet I have sung across many genres for many years. Once you have a good technique you will be able to sing in whatever style you choose! My operatic technique allows me to sing over a full orchestra without a microphone, and without causing vocal damage. In our lessons, I will be able to share with you these tools to healthy singing that enhances your natural tone. You will learn microphone technique, as well as performance techniques that will help you to better convey a character to an audience. Trusted teacher: I am an RCA MA Painting graduate, and I have a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Westminster University, and a Foundation diploma in Art & Design from the University for the Creative Arts. I am a practicing artist based in London, specializing in painting, and I have been showing my work nationally and internationally. My recent solo show was at Class Reiss London, and I also had a solo presentation at Art Athina. My fascination with tutoring derives from my sensitivity around learning disabilities, something which is a recurring theme in my practice as I grew up as a dyslexic learner, as well as my educational experience of being part of leading academic UK institutions. Through my work as an art tutor I strive to inspire and support my students, offering insight to my experience as a RCA alumnus and to the professional life of an artist. This class is the perfect way to get your child to where they want to be academically. Mathematics, English, and Science are available up to GCSE level, at which many exam boards are available. After lockdown, many kids are struggling across the country and tutoring is the ultimate way to catch them back up to speed. For all subjects available, classes are designed with the goal of making sure students understand the content rather than remembering them which gives them the upper hand in their final exam. This involves regular homework which will be marked outside of classtime, but will be reviewed with the student in the class to help outline and learn from mistakes. English: The English classes are specifically made to help improve reading comprehension and writing abilities, from creative to analytical writing. These skills are essential for success in GCSE English Literature and Language across any exam board. There are also English Classes available for kids sitting their SAT's and 11+ exams.
