Trusted teacher: Just done your mock exams? Are you ready to pull your grades all the way up? Or maybe looking to secure your 'safe' grade? Look no further. As a full time Data Lead and Exams Officer at Conisborough College, I have a unique view of performance metrics, and the latest knowledge on GCSE exams. With a specialism in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, my style of teaching is an expression of my experiences as a student and a tutor. My past tutoring experiences range from teaching secondary school classrooms and a lot of work with 1-on-1's. While I have had State Schooling my successful early experiences with exams (SATS, GCSEs) set me up with a solid foundation and ideal to approach exams by myself and eventually find my area of expertise in everything Maths and Physics. When it comes to exam preparation, my strategy is always textbook oriented. My principle in education has always been to know what I don't know and then deal with my not-knowing of that chapter/area. I like to use what is known/understood as a warm up and get creative with it, probing the student's baselines and tactics. The warm up also gives you the winning-feeling about the subject and this is a feeling that grows and brings clarity such that it guides me year in, year out to go and understand every chapter to answer every topical exam question, and it can for you too. I offer in person, and online teaching and am willing to provide references on demand, but first let's have a video call to discuss your needs further! Do you speak French? Have you just passed your practice exams? Are you ready to boost your grades? Or perhaps you're just looking to secure your "safe" grade? Look no further. As Data Lead and Exams Manager at Conisborough College, I have unique insight into performance metrics and the latest developments in GCSE exams. Specializing in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics, my teaching approach reflects my experiences as a student and tutor. I have extensive teaching experience, both in classrooms in secondary schools and in individual tutoring sessions. Although I received a state education, my successful experiences with exams (SATS, GCSEs) gave me a solid foundation and an ideal method for approaching exams independently. This is how I was able to specialize in Mathematics and Physics. When it comes to exam preparation, my strategy always relies on textbooks. My learning principle is simple: identify what I don't know, then address those gaps. I like to start with what is already known and understood, using it as a warm-up. This allows me to assess the student's level and strategies, while making learning more dynamic and creative. This warm-up also gives you a sense of achievement, which strengthens over time and provides essential clarity. It's this approach that has allowed me, year after year, to assimilate each chapter and be able to answer each exam question. It can do the same for you. I offer in-person and online classes and can provide references upon request. But first, let's discuss your needs over a video call!

Hi! I offer private French lessons with a fun and engaging approach, tailored to your interests and learning style. Instead of rigid classroom structures, I focus on “edutainment” – learning while having fun! Since you already have some basics, we can explore various immersive methods: • Cooking a classic French dish while learning vocabulary • Discussing topics that interest you • Analyzing French songs, movies, or books (I often recommend Le Petit Prince – simple yet meaningful) • Practicing real-life conversations, including romantic phrases or modern slang (“largo”) • Learning typical French expressions and their English equivalents • Using creative tools like post-it notes, interactive exercises, and everyday scenarios Each lesson is designed to help you absorb grammar and conjugation naturally, making learning intuitive and enjoyable. My goal is to ensure you gain confidence in speaking and understanding French through practical, real-world usage. There are so many ways to learn—if you have specific preferences, we can explore them too! 🧒 I also offer French classes for children and toddlers, using playful and hands-on methods inspired by the Montessori approach. Through games, songs, sensory activities, and storytelling, little ones can discover the French language in a warm, nurturing environment that respects their rhythm and curiosity. 📍 Recommended frequency: At least 2 hours per week for steady progress – but this is flexible depending on your needs. 📍 Flexible scheduling: Available during the day or in the evening, as I’m a freelance journalist. I offer individual lessons, but we can also have group lessons. If you’d like to start, we can arrange a first session to assess your level and set up a learning plan that fits your goals. Let me know what works for you! Looking forward to helping you on your French journey! ☺️

My lessons are primarily for adults. You can be needing a coach for an audition or a full production, maybe you want to find that spark again by trying a different method, or you might want to try acting out, great! I can adjust to whatever you need. My lessons are at least an hour or more. I have a vocal/light physical warm-up that I like to do at the beginning of subsequent lessons. I remember one of my first teachers saying "An actor should be a blank canvas." And this made sense at first. So I went up on our small stage to do a monologue and it was terrible. My teacher said, "Kamil, you didn't really do anything." "Well, yeah? I am a blank canvas" As a neurodiverse person, I am overanalytical, literal, incredibly anxious and have difficulty speaking with full confidence. However, my Master's level education from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School has given me a toolkit where I can work towards placing my self-doubt and uncertainty behind 'The Work.' The Work is the hours you've spent in the text, the pencil markings in the script, the crinkled pages from taking it in and out of your backpack. It's the objective truth that you can rely on when your self-awareness doesn't want you to be the character, when you can feel an audience member looking at you, when the person behind the camera laughs at something you didn't inherently think was funny. It's your character's lifesaver. For those that may require more structure when they receive text, I can help you deconstruct that overwhelming building into its key components. Whether it's from a play you've been newly cast in, a voiceover script you can't wrap your head around, or just a simple self-tape, we can work to break down text that lets BE that blank canvas on the day, but you know what paints you've used, what strokes you can utilise, you know the feel of the paintbrush from all the canvases you've practised on. Also, it's a good way to memorise lines. And that's just a nice bonus.

I am a tutor with 7+ years of experience teaching at a variety of levels. I teach English Language, English Literature, ESOL (English for speakers of other languages), Maths, and Creative Writing. I have taught students both in person and remotely, planning lessons using virtual presentations, activities and resources both in the UK and abroad. I believe the most successful results come from fostering a friendship with my students, and providing constant encouragement and support in their areas of interest. I pride myself on being an attentive listener and carefully adapt to the specific needs of my students, which is particularly helpful for my SEN and ESOL pupils. I have previously volunteered as a mentor with charities such as Al Muntaha Tutoring and Debate Mate, providing mentorship, relevant advice, and support to young people. At the beginning of every lesson I also do short icebreaker activities and challenges with my students, using a points reward system to keep them engaged. Previous students have gone on to become the top of their class and receive recognition at school for both English and Maths. Lessons start at 1 hour in length. Lessons are structured according to the needs of the student; this can be working alongside their class syllabus to support them with progress at school, tackling an area or subject they are specifically struggling with, or helping them prepare for national exams such as GCSEs. I currently teach Maths from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3 level. I provide feedback after every lesson and detailed progress reports every six months for each student. I primarily offer online lessons as I have found this works well for me and my students, but in some cases I do teach face-to-face depending on location and availability within London. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have - I look forward to speaking with you soon!

I worked with Kristin: I engaged her as an accompanist rather than a teacher. She accompanied me in my one-man play at the Edinburgh Fringe: Coleridge-Taylor of Freetown. Kristin was very keen and got totally immersed in the story and the play, and was complimented by many in the audience, both for her lovely playing and for her spirit. She even went flyering with me, which shows that she treated the engagement as much more than "just a job," which others could have. I am glad to have found her through Apprentus.
