Piano is a great musical instrument. You can play it while you accompany other instrument, you can sing with it, you can compose and you can play and enjoy your own music making. In the class you learn basic techniques necessary for playing piano and also many different styles and periods. Also I can help you with western classical music history and theory.

MY TEACHING APPROACH I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs - making sessions engaging and inspiring for younger learners, and offering flexible, goal-oriented approaches for adults. Whether you’re a complete beginner, aiming to improve your technique, preparing for an exam, or simply playing for enjoyment, we’ll work towards your personal goals!:) Most importantly, I want to create a supportive and relaxed atmosphere where students can progress at their own pace, feel comfortable making mistakes and, above all, find joy in music! My studies in music performance and pedagogy also allow me to continually develop my teaching methods and bring new ideas into my lessons. I believe this helps me stay curious, open-minded, and attentive to each student's individual way of learning. WHO ARE MY LESSONS FOR? I welcome: * Beginners of all ages who would like to start learning piano * Students who would like to prepare for exams, auditions or competitions * Students who already play and want to improve their technique and musical expression * Adults who have always wanted to learn piano or would like to return to playing * Anyone who simply wants to enjoy making music and develop their skills in a friendly environment If you’re interested in lessons, I’d love to help you on your musical journey - just get in touch to book your first session!:)

My long-term teaching experience is based on more than 15 years of formal musical education as a classical pianist. I have more than 10 years of experience in piano, music theory, and solfege tutoring for various ages (7-60). I have worked as a school tutor, helping to nurture and develop creativity and personal authenticity through musical practice and preparing students for enrollment in higher education institutions. My approach is grounded in positive pedagogy and student-centered learning, allowing me to tailor my methods to the individual needs and desires of my students. I foster an environment that nurtures imagination and curiosity, focusing on the journey and the process rather than solely on the final results. Thank you for giving me the trust to start this adventure together, and I look forward to hearing from you!

My lessons are friendly, relaxed and interactive. We start from the music you enjoy and build your skills step by step. In class we work on songs, chords, rhythm, technique and improvisation, always in a practical and musical way. Lessons are adapted to your level and goals, whether you are a beginner or already have some experience. My goal is simple: help you understand the piano, enjoy music and feel confident playing. Feel free to send me a message and tell me what music you love!

The rule is simple: don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself! Students are encouraged to try, fail, and overall be proactive in learning new information in bite-sized chunks: all of that in a warm and comforting environment. Depending on the personal goal of the student, we will learn/refine/explore the following topics: - Fundamental techniques of playing piano - How to read and play chords - How to play an improvised solo - How to change the underlying harmonies of a song to make it sound cooler (or weirder!) - Understanding how the musical elements are glued in a song, and if you dare, how to write one yourself - How to learn music or play music by ear - Exploring piano-looking-like instruments such as electric keyboards and subtractive synthesizers Languages: English (fluent), German (B1 and improving), Korean (native)
