Hana is Korean-New Zealander who is devoted and passionate about music as music teacher, performer, and accompanist. She has solid years of piano teaching experiences in NZ. Currently she's been in Germany since 2019. After settling down in the capital City in NZ, Wellington she has been focusing on her musical studies and degree at New Zealand School of Music in Victoria University, as well as developing her teaching skills privately and at school. Her major is Classical Music in Piano Performance. After the graduation in 2017, she devoted her fulltime in Piano teaching until today. Currently she's been in Germany since 2019 and teaching a variety of age, level of German students at her Mittenwald Piano Studio. She is happy to offering her musical teaching both "in person" lessons and online lessons. With her, you can learn not just skill of playing the piano, but also learn how to enjoy your music through the piano. She loves communicate with people, listen very well on their difficulties and hardship during lessons and try to give thoughtful suggestion to encourage the student learning path. She has experienced with students from beginner to advanced level, and also from the age 5 to adult. Also she met lots of students from a variety of countries in New Zealand, like from India, Taiwan, France, German, etc. She approached lessons for individual, depending on the student musicality, capacity and their personality. She is more feeling comfortable with English but also she is willing to give her lessons in in German if you give a generous of her German😊

In 2026 werd ik toegelaten tot zowel Berklee College of Music (VS) als Conservatorium Maastricht, waar ik ervoor koos mijn studie voort te zetten. Ik geef pianolessen aan leerlingen van alle leeftijden en niveaus. Tijdens de lessen werken we aan pianotechniek, muzikaliteit, improvisatie, gehoortraining en muziektheorie, altijd afgestemd op jouw persoonlijke doelen en muzikale interesses. Je kunt kiezen voor klassieke piano, jazz, improvisatie of een combinatie hiervan. Of je nu helemaal vanaf het begin begint, al ervaring hebt of je voorbereidt op een toelatingsexamen of conservatoriumstudie, ik pas de lessen aan jouw niveau en doelen aan. Fully online piano assessment and focused follow-up lessons in English for serious students who want a clear professional view of their current level, their main technical-musical bottleneck and the next practical steps. This is not a casual lesson. It is a structured professional assessment for students who practise regularly but do not fully understand why their playing still does not sound free, stable, expressive or convincing. I am a Russian-trained concert pianist and piano educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience, international performance background, recordings, masterclasses and academic-level teaching experience. I teach piano as an integrated system: sound, movement, rhythm, phrasing, memory, musical understanding and intelligent practice. During the assessment, I look at the student’s playing as a complete musical and technical system: — sound and tone quality — body coordination and technical freedom — rhythm, pulse and inner stability — phrasing and musical direction — articulation and dynamics — reading and understanding the score — voice balance, harmony, form and musical logic — memory and reliability — practice method and self-checking skills After the session, the student receives a written summary with the main observations, the central bottleneck and a concrete practice plan for the next stage of work. Possible formats: 1. Piano Assessment / Piano Reset 60 minutes online + written summary with a concrete practice plan 2. Piano Assessment + 4 focused follow-up lessons After the assessment, we can continue with 4 online lessons focused on improving the main bottleneck: reading, rhythm, sound, movement, phrasing, memory or practice strategy. Format: assessment session + 4 focused online lessons This format can be especially useful during the summer break, before the new school year, before an exam, recording or performance, after a long break from piano, or when the student feels that regular practice is not bringing the expected progress. The goal is not simply to add more pieces or more practice time. The goal is to understand what exactly is blocking progress and to build a clearer, more effective way of working.
