Advanced physics demands much more than the application of formulas: it requires a deep understanding of phenomena, a rigorous method of reasoning, and a genuine capacity for analysis. For over 35 years, I have been supporting students in preparatory classes, universities and engineering schools in their progress in physics and engineering sciences. We work from your course materials, tutorials, past papers or exam questions to identify the points of difficulty and acquire a solid problem-solving method. I place particular emphasis on understanding physical concepts, scientific reasoning and writing quality, essential skills for success in scientific fields. Course structure The sessions take place entirely online with an interactive digital whiteboard and screen sharing. Demonstrations, calculations, and exercises are carried out together in real time in order to immediately check understanding and correct reasoning errors. Available formats 60-minute session Ideal for preparing for a tutorial, understanding a difficult chapter or solving a complex exercise. 90-minute session Recommended for refresher courses, exam preparation, midterms, or in-depth study of an important chapter. The math, physics, chemistry, and SVT courses of the Swiss Maturity and Gymnasium program or French programs are given by either in-depth explanations or by a quick course and summary of essential needs according to the case of each student supported by exercises from the book or evaluations and exams from other high schools. Special program for Maturité and Terminale students. As well as (International and European Schools in English). The same goes for the start of the ECUS and EPSU academic year where the pupil can follow a complete preparation. I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). Passionate & empathetic teacher. I have a Master's in Physics with honors from the University of Leicester (which was featured at the time as a top 5 Physics university in the UK by The Guardian) and a - french - European School diploma in which I achieved 90% in Physics and 85% in Maths. Helping others understand difficult topics and skills is something that I am very passionate about as an empathetic person. I have 5 years of experience teaching Physics and Maths to kids from unprivileged backgrounds both in a homework schools as well as via private teaching. In my classes, I aim to: - help students achieve better grades in exams/tests in all branches of Physics & Maths - clearly explain and break down topics - give context and or example applications of topics (to improve understanding and memorization) - help with ADHD & other learning disabilities - give practical advice for university applications (eg. UCAS in the UK) and discuss the exciting Physics research/work and projects you can work on later in life. Physics has a plethora of useful and fascinating applications, from the detection of Gravitational Waves and Gamma-Ray Bursts to the development of novel Medical Imaging techniques and Nano-technology (eg: smartphones).
