Clarinet and Music Theory lessons for all ages and levels.Translate this text using Google Translate.

I am Mara, a clarinetist trained at the Oreste Camarca Professional Conservatory, where I obtained my professional clarinet degree. I am currently completing my degree in History and Science of Music and Music Technology at the Autonomous University of Madrid, which allows me to combine instrumental practice with a broad and contemporary view of music, blending performance, analysis, and musical creativity. We will offer personalized lessons tailored to each student's level and needs, based on the goals we set together. This includes both music theory and instrument playing. We will learn to read music and scores, understand the clarinet, its sound, fingering, breathing, and basic technique... focusing on the music and style that interests us most to fully enjoy it, always respecting each person's learning pace. Music is a form of expression, knowledge, and enjoyment... it doesn't matter how old you are, but how much you want to learn, discover your instrument, and love music. Every student is unique, and my goal is to guide you on your journey so you can find your own sound, gain confidence, and enjoy the experience. Whether you're starting from scratch or already playing the clarinet but feeling stuck, unmotivated, or uncertain, we'll work together to overcome these challenges. I'd be delighted to help you progress, rediscover your passion, and reconnect with the magic of music. I offer flexible scheduling and in-person lessons, along with close support to ensure consistent and motivating progress at every stage of your learning.

Oud lessons in Cairo, Fifth Settlement and First SettlementTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Oud lessons in Cairo, Fifth Settlement and First SettlementTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am an oud teacher who teaches oud to beginners in terms of reading musical notes. Intensive training is required to raise the level in an academic manner, as well as teaching solfege until you reach the required level. Within a short period, the most important thing is that you have the oud. If it is not available, I can recommend a professional oud maker to you. If you're just starting to learn the oud and want to get to know the basics, it's not difficult and we'll help you enjoy playing and build your skills step by step. First of all, what is an oud? The oud is an ancient stringed instrument used in oriental music. It has a distinctive shape and a deep sound. It consists of a large wooden body and a short neck with strings. Ok, how do we start? 1. Oud grip: The first thing you need to learn is how to hold the oud correctly, so that you are comfortable and your hand can move easily over the strings. 2. Strings: The oud has five or six strings, and each string has a specific note. First, we'll learn how to tune the oud (adjust the strings so the notes sound correctly). 3. Basics of playing: Next, we will learn how to move the pick (the instrument you pluck the strings with) and how to play simple notes on the strings. 4. Musical note: We'll start by learning how to read musical notation in a simple way, so you can play short pieces. The topic will begin with easy notes, and then we'll progress step by step. 5. Practical application: Over time, we will start practicing famous oriental pieces such as “taqasim” or simple things from the Arab musical heritage. In this course, everything will be taught step by step so that you will understand the basics and be comfortable playing. For details, contact us via page messages.

Guitar/Music/Composition Lessons in Berlin (All ages and all levels welcome!)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Guitar/Music/Composition Lessons in Berlin (All ages and all levels welcome!)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! Alright, I'll break it down into parts. If you look for a more "narrowed description" just scroll down to where I made a list :) My name is Francisco, and I'm a guitar player from Argentina, currently living in Berlin. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and sharing the energy to grow musically with my students. I have taught music for 7 years in schools and privately at home. With private lessons, my aim is to adjust to the student's likes and abilities. I am attentive to the needs and the reasons why someone is wanting to play and learn music. And I try to encourage the curiosity and spirit of making music and not follow what is "considered" that you should learn. What to expect from the first lesson with me? To get to know each other. That way I see what you like and what you don't, what you already play, and your learning pace. Probably I can share with you something new already, and from there, we will build a "program" according to what you want your rhythm and time availability. I value singularity and I like to get to know who I teach, so that way I can help them better. It can be first chords and ways of learning new songs, improvisational tools, or pure harmony and theory stuff. Because everyone is different, for example, if you like Rock I will go in that direction and teach you the elements that make Rock sound like it does and I won't teach you Jazz Harmony, if you like Classical music we will go over the abilities that you have to have to execute this kind of music, the same goes for the styles that I play. My skills: I play and have played mainly Fingerstyle Guitar, Jazz, Argentine Tango, Jazz Manouche, Rock, Rockabilly, and Experimental. I have worked a lot playing Bossa Nova at some point. I don't like teaching something that I don't know. So for example, oriental music I couldn't teach. And if we come to a point where I am not helpful anymore, I will say so. What I do like is learning with students, it is often the case that your students teach you new ways of thinking about music and I find that super exciting! I was lucky to travel a bit of the world playing music with different projects and musicians that I admire, I always did this playing mainly Jazz music. I have played in bars and clubs and theaters in New York, Boston, Buenos Aires, and in different cities around Switzerland, Germany, France, Holland. I was also part of several orchestras (Jazz, Tango, and Rock) in Argentina and the US. I teach beginner - intermediate - advanced levels of different topics: - how to improve technique (right hand and left hand) - how to improvise (elements of improvisation, vocabulary, phrasing, etc.) - how to visualize the fretboard - how to learn songs by ear, and how to read music (or tab) - how harmony and music theory work - specific genres such as Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova, Tango, Rock, and Fingerstyle. The lessons can be also in German (basic, so you might need a bit of patience with me!), Spanish (that's my mother tongue), or English. They can be at my place (Wedding), all corona safe, or online via Zoom/Skype. Shoot me a message if you are interested! All the best, Francisco

“ Matteo is a fantastic teacher and bassist, he’s very friendly and patient and he explains musical concepts and techniques well in simple terms so it’s easy to follow along. He’s well prepared and clearly puts in a lot of time and effort to figure out the right exercises (engaging ones, not too boring, not too hard) and order of exercises to suit your specific needs. I feel very inspired to pick up my bass and start practicing after just one session. Highly recommended! ”

“ As someone with very little theoretical background, I find that Jean does his best to explain things in a simple and clear matter. He is patient and calm, will adapt the lessons to your level and needs, accompany the lessons with exercises and material that you can use to practice at home, .. Overall a very good experience so far. ”

“ First lesson went of quite well considering that I'm a novice, but with help from Nuno who is a very patient and pleasant guy i do feel a bit more confident. He explains it in a simple format giving you the time to understand what you are actually trying to play. I look forward to my next session ”
