I know what it's like to get stuck on a problem or not understand a concept even after rereading the material several times because I've been there too. My goal isn't just to give you the answer, but to help you actually understand: whether that means prepping for an exam, working through exercises, or getting a firmer grip on the theory. A lot of teachers explain things in overly technical or abstract ways. I prefer to break concepts down, rephrase them until they click for you with no judgment if something doesn't sink in on the first try. I taught math for a year at Phassyl Private Education, working with students from middle school level up through maturité and first-year EPFL. I'm also happy to work with younger students if needed. I'm currently a 3rd-year Microengineering student at EPFL myself, so I know the demands of bachelor's-level coursework and the common traps that cost points on exams. Every session is tailored to your pace and what you need at the time: reinforcing fundamentals, prepping for a test, or simply revisiting a chapter that didn't quite land the first time.

I am a Master's student in Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL and I offer various private lessons in math, physics, chemistry, biology, and French to help students better understand their courses, progress, and gain confidence. I also help first-year Bachelor's students at EPFL or other universities. The sessions are tailored to each student's level and needs: reviewing difficult concepts, homework help, test/exam preparation, and practice exercises. I always try to explain things simply and clearly, using a patient and encouraging approach. My goal is for the student to truly understand what they are doing and gradually become more independent.

Having graduated with a Master's degree in physics from EPFL, specializing in astrophysics, I offer private tutoring in mathematics and physics for secondary school students, gymnasium students and students at the beginning of higher education. I have several years of experience in teaching: assistant in mechanics and thermodynamics at EPFL, private tutoring in mathematics and physics, as well as various teaching and science outreach activities. My method My goal is not to make people learn formulas by heart, but to make them truly understand the concepts and reasoning behind them. My first step is to identify the problem: a poorly understood concept, weak foundations, difficulty translating a problem into equations, or simply a lack of methodology. We then reconstruct the reasoning step by step before applying it to exercises. The goal is for the student to gradually become capable of solving problems independently, rather than mechanically reproducing a method. I can help with, in particular: understanding and resuming the lesson; exercises and homework; consolidation of the foundations; preparation for tests, exams, maturity or baccalaureate; methodology and problem-solving; refresher or advanced training. As a final year Bachelor of Engineering student at EPFL, I offer private lessons or support, or homework help adapted to the level and needs of each student. I teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, French, and English, primarily at the beginner to intermediate level, from elementary school to high school. Lessons can focus on understanding concepts, preparing for assessments, solving exercises, or simply regaining confidence in the subject. I also offer support in Analysis I for higher education students, particularly to review theoretical concepts, understand methods and practice exercises. My goal is to make concepts more accessible by adapting to each student's pace and prioritizing real understanding over rote learning.

I love teaching and have always enthusiastically helped my classmates. I have been giving private lessons since 2016 (around 25 students, including one for Analysis I, EPFL). I am also an assistant for two courses at EPFL (3rd year Bachelor and Master levels), and I co-created and taught the EPFL Advanced Analysis course during the welcome week for new students (Students4Students EPFL). I strive to transmit my knowledge and my passion for the subject to my students, at a pace adapted to their needs. I think that students who take private lessons have a sincere desire to overcome their difficulties and that we must therefore pay particular attention to encouraging them. It is therefore step by step that I help them understand the material, by developing their intuition of the different concepts covered while ensuring that they fill in their gaps. My students appreciate my clarity, structure, motivation, patience and flexibility. If you or your child has difficulty with mathematics, do not hesitate to contact me for more information about my courses.

I offer math classes for elementary, high school or gymnasium students. Graduate of a French baccalaureate option physics-chemistry with honors, I am currently a first-year student at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. I am very familiar with the difficulties of students who had been in their shoes not so long ago. I will be able to give a suitable explanation to the student.

As a Master's student in Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL, I offer tutoring in mathematics, physics and biochemistry for secondary, gymnasium and university levels. My approach: start with a structured review of the course material and a deeper exploration of any remaining unclear concepts, then quickly move on to practical application. It's by solving concrete exercises that you truly solidify your knowledge, not by passively repeating the theory. Whether it's to fill gaps in knowledge, prepare for an exam or get ahead, I adapt the content and pace to your needs and level.

I am a PhD student at EPFL, and I have been teaching mathematics and physics/chemistry for several years now. I was accepted to MIT, the best school in the world, and I was also accepted to Oxford and Cambridge. Often students learn, but do not know the correct techniques to apply to exercises; I will show the student how to properly understand and solve the exercises.

Master student at EPFL, I would be happy to help you (you or your child) for the subjects where you have difficulties! At university, I have been an assistant in Chemistry for the first years of EPFL for a few years as well as for a course linking mathematics and electronics, called Signals and Systems. So I am used to teaching and explaining concepts to students with difficulties. I also give private lessons to students passing the Swiss maturity or the French baccalaureate. To try to see together the difficulties as well as the misunderstandings: we go back to the lesson together, we do an exercise together and then I let the student do it independently and we review together if he is blocked or if we need to correct. I would be delighted to be able to help you in all matters, both scientific and literary! :)

Being a student at epfl, I acquired a good basis in mathematics. I want to help and support the students in their school program by giving them the techniques. It is also possible to do extra work to progress. I adapt to the wishes of the student or the parents.

I am a student at EPFL in the fifth year of chemical and biotechnological engineering. I graduated with a French scientific baccalaureate with a specialty in physics and chemistry. I have already given math, physics and chemistry lessons regularly for several years. My goal is to put the student at ease and to encourage him. During my lessons, I usually do exercises with the students because they allow them to better understand the theory of the course by applying it. I can give lessons from the beginning of secondary school until maturity in mathematics.

I offer private math lessons for all levels, up to (maybe) the second year of university. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from EPFL, I have been an assistant since 2023 in several courses, mainly in analysis and linear algebra. I have also corrected exams for the CMS and MàN programs. At the same time, I participated in the mentoring program as a tutor, a support program for first-year mathematics students. My role was to help them understand the courses, solve exercises, and prepare for exams. The students I followed throughout the year all obtained an average above 5. My way of teaching would be to explain my point of view, to give concrete examples of application of the results seen in class, to explain the logical progression of the course, to give a proof of the result or sometimes just to make a drawing. I am a student myself, and I understand the difficulty one can have in visualizing concepts, so I am open to criticism and flexible on my way of teaching.
