My lessons are personalized and dynamic. They combine instrumental technique with ear training, applied theory, and repertoire that most motivates the student. My goal is to train not only competent bass players, but well-rounded musicians who understand their role within a band and develop their own artistic voice. 🎯 MAIN OBJECTIVES • Mastering right-hand and left-hand techniques (fingerstyle, slap, tapping, etc.). • Develop an active musical ear and improvisation skills. • Understand the role of the bass in different musical styles and contexts. • Acquire tools to play with ease in ensembles and recording sessions. • Stimulate creativity and personal expression through the instrument. 📦 INCLUDED MATERIALS • 📖 PDFs with progressive technical exercises, from beginner to advanced level. • 🎧 Audio files (play-alongs) for practicing in a real context. • 🎼 Customizable repertoire: pieces chosen by the student, adapted to their level. • 📚 Modules of harmony and theory applied to bass. • 🎶 Improvisation material: scales, rhythmic patterns and stylistic language. 🔄 METHOD STRUCTURE 1. Initial assessment: diagnosis of musical level and interests. 2. Personalized plan: selection of the directory and definition of short/medium term objectives. 3. Dynamic lessons: combination of technique, repertoire, ear training and improvisation. 4. Continuous monitoring: progress recordings, personalized feedback and adjustments. 🎸 CONTENT BY LEVEL • Beginner: posture, chords, basic grooves, rhythmic reading, simple pieces. • Intermediate: slap technique, major and minor scales, walking bass, intermediate level repertoire. • Advanced: extensive techniques, modern harmony, free improvisation, complex repertoire. 👨‍🏫 PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH • A flexible method that adapts to the student's tastes and objectives. • Contextual practice: all exercises applied in real musical situations. • Emphasis on musicality, not just technique. • Use of technology to optimize learning (apps, audio, video).

Matéo - ParisC$60
Trusted teacher: Hello, welcome to my ad! My name is Matéo and I am 26 years old. I have been playing guitar for 9 years and teaching it for 5 years. After studying at the conservatory and music school, I obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM) specializing in jazz guitar. Over the years, I have been able to accompany around forty students, both in private lessons, group lessons and at the conservatory where I teach today. OPTION1) The course I offer is aimed at beginner to intermediate level guitarists, of all ages (children too!), in acoustic and electric guitar. My goal is to give you the essential basics of the instrument (body position, technique, chords) as well as an understanding of fundamental musical concepts (rhythm, ear, reading tablature and/or music theory) which will be very useful to you as a musician. We will base our learning as quickly as possible on real pieces of music, if possible suggested by the student because I think that learning by playing the music you like is the most motivating method. As a teacher, I have always adapted as best I could to each profile to make them learn in the way that suited them best, make them play the music they like, help them with their difficulties and push them to surpass themselves in their abilities. Finally, I always make sure that the lessons take place in a calm and pleasant atmosphere so that the student progresses at their own pace and learns while having fun. OPTION 2) This course is for intermediate to advanced guitarists (and musicians in general) who want to acquire a deeper understanding of music theory. What we can cover, depending on your needs: analysis, harmony, composition, transcription, improvisation, music theory, ... Lessons can take place at my home, in the 15th arrondissement, or at the student's home where I can travel (for an extra) within a reasonable radius. Declared via CESU (Universal Employment Service Check) or self-employed invoice.

Trusted teacher: With me, you can begin, develop, or even perfect your piano skills. I adapt to all levels, styles, and paces. Some students who have dedicated a significant amount of time to studying piano regularly have made tremendous progress in a short period. For students wishing to prepare for the entrance exam to the conservatory, I can help you in the form of an intensive mini-course during the summer or before (piano leveling and/or music theory). My teaching method is sensory-focused, emphasizing the development of movement in connection with musical feeling. I will help you "connect" with your instrument and unlock its full potential. Also, I attach importance to understanding the pieces played. Understanding their structural, harmonic functioning is necessary and unfortunately little addressed in traditional courses. My classes are deeply human. A relationship of trust is established from the very beginning of the lessons. In my opinion, this is the foundation of effective learning. My students are very satisfied with my approach, and I would encourage you to try the experience too! I teach at home (Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume), at the student's home, and also via videoconference in the rest of France and abroad. For this last option, if you are not equipped, I will help you with your first steps. I offer hybrid formats for certain locations (online courses + some occasional in-person courses). CESU option Do not hesitate to contact me. The pleasure of working with you !

Félix - ParisC$50
Trusted teacher: While creating a repertoire, we will work the ear, rhythm, technique. I focus on practice, improvisation, and the relationship between you and your instrument in order to have fun on your bass. Okay, but what are we doing? The basics: - the silence - harmony (scales, chords, intervals) - rhythm (binary, ternary, swing, shuffle) - the sound (technique, nuance) - the coding of the English chords (A = la, E- = E minor, etc.) - the musical culture and the different ways of listening to music A choice: - improvisation (learning to play without partition, becoming able to play with anyone, anytime) - group music in general (the modern bass, the different roles of the instruments in a group) - jazz (standards, swing, notions of harmonies and improvisation) - rock, funk (notions of groove, rhythmic placement, search for sounds, pentatonic scales) - music games for children The instrument remains a tool to make music, so we will work to become a MUSICIAN (with the help of a bass guitar). Any age, any level (to be evaluated during the first class) I preferably receive at home, or at least near my home (Paris EST). Having a busy musical life moves are to be avoided as far as possible. Do not hesitate to contact me for further information! Additional Information: It is important for your teacher to match you musically (unless otherwise, if you want to fill in gaps, or discover a new genre). That's why I present myself in a few lines, so that you get an idea of the kind of bassist that I am: I started bass more than ten years ago, I first discovered the instrument alone (self-taught training). I later played in several Rock formations. Rock I was interested in Funk (style in which the bass plays a key role). I then became more and more interested in improvisation and therefore Jazz music. I took two years of classes at the Conservatoire du 9ème arrondissement in Paris before joining the IMEP (formerly American School of Modern Music). Currently, I play in several bands: a jazz / funk band and a jazz / rock band. My influences (in bulk): Jaco Pastorius, Weather Report Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, George Duke, Miles Davis, Funkadelic / Parliament, James Brown, Prince, George Benson, John Scofield, Hendrix, Zappa, Stanley Clarke, Al di meola, Paco de lucia, Bob marley, Marcus Miller, Kenny Garett, Bill Evans, Lettuce, Brecker Brothers, Return to Forever, Mahavishnu, Led Zep, Dire Straits, Rolling Stones, The Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Munir Hossn, Matthew Garrisson , Hadrien Feraud, Ron Carter, Linley Martha, Maceo Parker, Paul Chambers, Mike Stern, Bob Berg and many more!
