Hi everyone! I lived in Japan for a year and a half, first as a Japanese studies student at Ochanomizu University and then as a trainee for Japanese language teachers at Japan Foundation Institute in Saitama. I've been around the Japanese language since 2008 and teaching it since 2012, individually and at private language schools. I also worked as a Japanese speaking tour-guide for around four years and occasionally worked as an interpreter. My teaching approach is focused on communication and based on real-life situations as I feel students get more motivated if they feel they can use their knowledge outside of the classroom. However, as a grammar freak, I can add a bit of extra focus on it if needed. I am very communicative, open and supportive since I had to go through the process of learning Japanese myself which I find a beneficial experience for beginners' level.

英語を学ぶことは、単語を覚えることではなく、自分を表現する力を育てることです。 In my classes, you’ll learn how to speak English naturally and confidently, step by step. We’ll focus on: • 💬 Real conversation practice for daily and business situations • 🎧 Listening and pronunciation for clear, natural communication • 📝 Grammar and vocabulary explained simply and visually • 🌍 Cultural understanding to speak English with confidence abroad I’m a multilingual teacher who lives in Japan and understands the challenges Japanese learners face — especially with pronunciation, sentence flow, and confidence. My goal is to help you feel relaxed, understood, and motivated while learning English you can actually use. Let’s build your English fluency together — one natural conversation at a time.

I provide Japanese lessons for Japanese language learners. I focus on conversation practice, correcting mistakes and showing you more natural expressions. We may also study grammar and practice reading and listening comprehension as necessary. In my lessons, I may use Japanese textbooks ("Minna no Nihongo" beginner level, "Irodori" online site) or original materials. For beginners, I also use English or Chinese. At the intermedite levels, lessons are primarily conducted in Japanese so that students can be exposed to as much Japanese as possible.
