This class is for junior high students who currently living in Japan who are preparing for the entrance exam for senior high school and are suffering from poor academic performance. In most cases, there is no single cause for poor academic performance, but rather a combination of factors. Adults may dismiss a child's inability to get a good score on a school test as a lack of understanding, but I will carefully explore the reasons why the students are struggling. Through my own experience of studying for the entrance exams (private junior high and university) as well as my teaching experience of more than 40 Japanese students, I'd like to help you.

If you are a beginner, I recommend studying Japanese in your language. (or the language you can understand well) If you go to a Japanese school in Japan, it's basically teaching in Japanese even for beginners and teachers don't understand English but I think that's not efficient. Of course, I try to make you use Japanese as much as you can because speaking is the most important thing. In my lesson, you get many opportunities to practice speaking! Now English is only available for my lesson but I'm studying Chinese and German so hopefully I will use them as well in the future! 中級者なら日本語でレッスンしますが、英語で質問しても大丈夫です。Once you start to speak Japanese, Japanese people just say "日本語上手ですね" and nobody corrects your Japanese even if you make many mistakes, so I can teach you proper Japanese for the intermediate level. We have opened a school at Yokosuka Horinouchi! In our studio, you can learn languages and music at the same time! We have English, Korean, Japanese, and Russian instructors. Of course, with a parking lot. It's only 15 minutes drive from the Yokosuka navy main gate, and by walking, it's 8 minutes from Horinouchi station. We also have many rentable instruments and practice rooms for 500yen per hour. If you have an instrument you want to try but can't afford the first adventure, try at our place!
