One of these rhythms is the "tresillo", which is found in several popular dances in Abya Yala / Anahuac / Tawantinsuyo such as cumbia, bachata,bullengue, reggaeton*, etc. This rhythm is also present in millennial cultures around the world. The steps have similarities to movements in Tai-chi or Qi-gong, and have the potential to bring health benefits. It is an approach that has the potential to connect the moving body with the mind. Socially, a circle dance can help release any inhibitions. The workshop aims to encourage safe spaces where we can dance alone, or in groups. *important note.
