I'm a violist and music teacher, and my journey with the viola began by chance. Before I picked up the instrument, I didn't even know it existed. I started relatively late, at fourteen, compared to my peers, and therefore I understand well the challenges that come with starting an instrument later in life. Yet, from the very first moment, the viola felt like my instrument, and it has been my great passion ever since. Although my main subject is viola, I also teach violin based on my methodology training at the ArtEZ Conservatory. My portfolio includes repertoire and teaching materials for violin, allowing me to effectively guide students on both instruments. I teach students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced amateurs, and I focus not only on technique and interpretation but also on the feeling and experience of music. I guide my students in connecting body, emotion, and sound, helping them to unleash the music that already resides within them. My lessons are designed to develop confidence, self-expression, and a joy in playing, whether they're exploring the viola or the violin.
