A recent graduate from Oxford University and the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, baritone Filippo engages in a singing practice which not only ensures a healthy, disciplined approach to vocal technique, but strives to motivate the student to engage in deeply meaningful, musical performances. Filippo’s approach - drawing from his wealth of experience in the worlds of opera, song and choral performance - ensures a comfortable, motivating environment upon which the student can reach closer to their unique vocal and expressive potential. Alongside his teaching work, Filippo can be found performing with internationally renowned opera companies and ensembles. Recent highlights include performances at this year’s Salzburg Festival with ensemble Utopia (conducted by Teodor Currentzis), his German-house debut at the Immling Festival, and solo engagements with orchestras including the Staatskapelle Dresden, St James Baroque and His Majesty’s Sackbutts and Cornetts. A former choral scholar at New College, Oxford, Filippo’s teaching approach may also cover techniques associated with choral award applications alongside general audition training, if desired. Whether you wish to study 30 minutes or 60 minutes, Filippo will guarantee a productive session which, fundamentally, caters to each student’s goals and needs.
