Hi! I'm Emily, an American living in Montpellier who wants to help you improve your English! I currently work for the Montpellier Academy as a language assistant in public middle schools. I have experience tutoring French students from elementary to high school, as well as proofreading texts and proposals for professionals. In addition to teaching, I have eight years of experience caring for children from birth to 14 years old. I base my lessons on your goals. My first and most important question is: what do you want to accomplish? Every student is different and learns differently. If your goal is to improve your reading, I will assess your English level and then prepare appropriate texts for us to work on together. If you are preparing for a specific exam, I will gladly prepare the lessons according to the grading grid. If you are looking to improve your conversational skills, I find the best way to improve is to discuss topics that interest you! Above all, I try to make my classes as stress-free as possible. Stress inhibits our ability to learn, so I aim to create a friendly, pressure-free environment.
