My name is Beryl and I'm a primary school teacher, currently retraining to become a speech therapist. I miss teaching during my studies: I would be delighted to provide in-person (or online) homework help! My homework help offer is for students from CP to 3rd grade. I am highly aware of learning difficulties and disabilities, if needed. I have an excellent grasp of elementary school programs (CP to CM2), but also have the ability to navigate those of middle school in order to identify what is expected. I offer homework help to avoid conflicts between you and your child, to reinforce their learning, to help them progress, to help them gain confidence, to free up your time because you speak another language at home... or for any other reason that is entirely your own! I adapt to your needs: homework help (exercises or learning lessons), checking homework, having your child or young person read aloud to help them automate reading, re-explaining a difficult concept for them... I can support you on an ad-hoc basis (if you are short on time for a short period, for example) or more regularly. I don't really have a fixed lesson structure because I adapt to each student. However, I always start with your request, so you will begin the lesson and any homework. Throughout the lesson, I will follow up on what happens and address any concepts that are (or aren't) causing difficulty. I have many tools in my teacher's bag (school programs, frequently encountered difficulties, explanations, different angles of approach, links with real life, materials and ideas for manipulation, mnemonic devices, ease in creating tailor-made systematic exercises, ability to use AI to best adapt exercises, textbooks of various levels... and above all my ability to adapt to your request!). I don't hesitate to think outside the box, to move away from "classic" methods, in order to bring what seems relevant to me... and I dare to change and propose something else if I find that it doesn't work! For example, I often take the liberty of transforming learning into challenges or games. I also have equipment that I can bring, or even create. As a primary school teacher, I know how to adapt to younger children and am familiar with the different stages of teaching and learning various concepts. Through various other experiences, I also know how to provide older students with what they need, both in terms of content and methodology. The feedback from families at the school has always been very positive. I haven't yet had the opportunity to give private lessons or provide homework help, but I'm looking forward to it: I really enjoyed the APC (supplementary educational activities) sessions where I could help 3 students gain confidence in themselves and their abilities, and progress from where they were, just as I really enjoy helping my friends when scientific concepts seem complicated to them! Help can be provided on an occasional basis (if you're struggling with an exercise or lesson, or if you're temporarily unavailable to help your child with their homework) or more regularly. My schedule is flexible and may vary from week to week. Lessons available at 50% of the listed price, if at your home, via CESU (tax deduction)] Feel free to contact me if you think I can help you! Looking forward to getting in touch with you!
[Courses available at 50% of the listed price, if at your home, via CESU (tax reduction)] Hello, My name is Beryl and I am a primary school teacher, retraining to become a speech therapist. After a scientific baccalaureate, I completed a degree in mathematics and computer science before becoming a primary school teacher. During my current studies to become a speech therapist, I miss teaching: I would be delighted to help you progress in math (or in science: physics, chemistry, life and earth sciences), whether globally or by helping you overcome a specific challenge. My courses are suitable for students of all ages and academic levels: - From CP to CM2 (Extensive mastery of concepts, curricula, possible approaches, and potential difficulties, thanks to my profession) - Middle and high school, general or vocational (Mastery of concepts + ability to navigate the curricula... moreover, teaching methods and a caring approach are easily generalizable from primary to other levels! I also have the opportunity to help students of these ages progress in leisure activities in which I volunteer) - Students: * Non-core math subjects (biology degree, speech therapy, and need for help with statistics...) * "Main" maths: linear algebra, analysis, logic, geometry in space... to be discussed depending on the specific concept that is causing you trouble, I will then tell you honestly whether I am able to help you or not! I still love math and teaching, and I have an excellent foundation thanks to my degree in mathematics and computer science. My teaching experience, even though it was at the primary level, allows me to teach at all levels because the teaching skills I acquired are generalizable. I adapt to your needs: homework help, help with exercises, explanations of difficult concepts, all kinds of exercises at your school level... I can assist you on an occasional or more regular basis. I don't really have a fixed session structure because I adapt to each student. However, I always start with your request, so you'll begin the lesson. Throughout the lesson, I'll build on what you bring to the table and what you find challenging (or not). I have many tools in my teacher's bag (explanations, different angles of approach, links with real life, materials and ideas for manipulation, mnemonic devices, ease in creating tailor-made systematic exercises, ability to use AI to best adapt the exercises, textbooks of various levels... and above all my ability to adapt to your request!). I offer lessons via video call or at your home (Rennes). Lessons can be one-off (if you're struggling with a particular concept) or more regular. My name is Beryl and I am a primary school teacher, retraining to become a speech therapist. During my studies, I miss teaching: I would be delighted to help you improve your spelling, or more broadly your French (reading aloud, grammar, conjugation...)! My courses are suitable for all ages, all school levels, and all levels of mastery (from primary school to higher education, or even for adults already in the workforce - or not - wishing to progress). I have excellent spelling, which was reinforced during my teaching master's degree, during classroom teaching (teaching helps to master it even better), and during my entry into speech therapy school. I offer lexical spelling (how words are spelled) and grammatical spelling (agreements), but also reading aloud, grammar, conjugation... according to your needs. I adapt to your request: "surface" or "push," more training or explanations... We can start from a French exercise you have to do, from one of your texts written independently or from one of your texts to read, from a dictation, from a type of agreement or from a list of words that is causing you problems... or from nothing, and I will offer you a short "diagnostic" dictation or reading. I don't really have a fixed session structure because I adapt to each student. However, I always start with your request, so you'll begin the lesson. Throughout the lesson, I'll build on what you bring to the table and what you find challenging (or not). I have many tools in my teacher's bag (illustrated spelling, physical paths, mnemonic devices, word corpus, dictations, ease in creating tailor-made systematic dictations/exercises, ability to use AI to best adapt exercises, textbooks of various levels... and above all my ability to adapt to your request!). I don't hesitate to think outside the box, to move away from "classic" methods, in order to bring what seems relevant to me... and I dare to change and propose something else if I find that it doesn't work! As a primary school teacher, I know how to adapt to younger children and am familiar with the different stages of teaching and learning spelling. Through various other experiences, I also know how to provide adults with what they need, by putting myself at their level without the concepts being taught seeming childish. The feedback from families at the school has always been very positive. Lessons are available at 50% of the listed price, as they take place at your home, via CESU vouchers (tax deduction). Hello, My name is Beryl and I am a primary school teacher, currently retraining to become a speech therapist. During my studies, I missed teaching and working with children: I would be delighted to support your child. I offer stimulation for your child (or children) between 2 and 6 years old (or older, if disabled), through games and playful manipulations, to help them progress in oral language, number construction, and fine motor skills in preparation for writing. I am aware of disability issues, and am currently retraining to become a speech therapist. I have an excellent grasp of the preschool curriculum and the expectations for entry into first grade. I propose to support your child to help them progress, thanks to my experience with preschool-aged children (and my awareness of disability). This support will take place at your home in Rennes (or the surrounding area), either occasionally or more regularly. I will primarily use the child's toys and environment, but I can bring or even create adapted materials if I deem it appropriate. Feel free to contact me if you think I can help you!
[Courses available at 50% of the listed price, if at your home, via CESU (tax reduction)] Hello, I offer flute and piano lessons for beginners. These can be used in conjunction with lessons from another teacher to help students practice their instrument in between, or my lessons can be taken on their own. I also offer musical awakening around a piano with various games (rhythm, memory, listening, finger dexterity...) for the youngest children. This would be my first experience teaching music, hence the fairly low price. I've been playing the flute for years. I'm a primary school teacher, so I understand the principles of teaching. I also have a good foundation in piano (I can accompany simple flute pieces, for example), as well as in music theory, even though I've never attended a conservatory. I went to music school with various teachers and had the opportunity to participate in several workshops (including one with Jean Ferrandis, a leading figure in the flute world). I'm at the end of the third cycle of flute studies and about mid-level in piano, with a strong grasp of the fundamentals. I'm always willing to challenge myself.
